Ellis Short - the worst thing to happen to SAFC in a near 140 year history

You can say what you want about short.

The fact of the matter is, he’s the owner, we aren’t, a negative attitude from the fans is going to get us nothing.

There’s plenty of worse owners about than him.

He’s just taken too much bad advice on board imho.

Name one.

Drumville for a start, Short took his eye off the club and trusted too many people to play their role, he is paying the penalty for it.

So he is a good owner, but he has, in your words, 'taken his eye off the club'?

WTF?

Given that the original Drumaville consortium took us from the bottom of the Championship to the Premier League (racking up debts in the process), and Ellis Short has taken us from the lower reaches of the Premier League to the bottom of the Championship (racking up debts in the process), in what respects would you say Ellis Short has been a better owner than Drumaville?

Bob Murray when he couldn't afford wages for the team, Drumville who allowed so many players to come in it blew our wages up totally, Keane for signing such dross that we were lucky to get half back

Name one.

Well the fact both had about same debt at least, at the time Drumville spent money was before football exploded in costs of transfers so wasn't going to be hard to get out of the championship just look at smogs and Villa who alone spend over 50m in championship and are still here.

Yes it’s a travesty the way he’s overseen a huge investment in the club, and our longest unbroken spell in the top flight for decades.

People need to get a grip. He’s made mistakes in his managerial appointments and if he’s guilty of anything, it’s backing the wrong managers too far. However he’s not exactly turned a profit at the clubs expense. He’s the biggest loser out of everyone on the back of what’s happened.

Oh piss off. His behaviour this season has been stupid. I can't say shameful, he can do what he likes with his money ultimately. But f***ing stupid.

Frankly, over ten years at this club you'd have to say he's thick as pigshit.

The way they go one about him is absolutely staggering. I can only assume they don't want to accept the obvious because he's still here. Honestly.....the mess he's gotten us in over a decade is being attributed by some to Drumaville and Keane. Probably like supporters of a certain president with an odd complexion and weird hair, they'll always make excuses for him, blame someone else or just flat out refuse to acknowledge how bad he is.

I dont think anyone wouldn't admit mistakes have been made under Short, in fact mistakes have been made last 25 years that has an end cause of the situation we are in now, to just blame Short and Bain is absolute rubbish and a very narrow minded view, their is at least a dozen people we could lay or attribute blame, but the reality is it's now up too CC and the players to start getting results

No, that was either the illegal payments scandal (which ruined us permanently) or Mackemenemy. Short is currently still a distant 3rd.

Blokes a ducking disgrace, running us into the ground in order to claw every pound he can out of the club.

We’ll be in league one come the summer and into the footballing abyss.

It’s fuxking scandalous what’s going on at the moment, Ndong going on loan for peanuts purely just to get a nominal fee.

During Shorts time we've sold Bent, PVA, Pickford and Henderson for big money. We got reasonable sums for Sessegnon and Mignolet yet still over £100m in debt. Some business man he is.

But he put his faith in the wrong people, he was let down. He wore a ftm badge........Fuck off!

Are we sure that badge means fuck the mags ? Lately I’ve been wondering.

kept us in the Premier League for 10 seasons although most were a struggle and not so enjoyable, invested millions but it's all gone horribly wrong

he needs to put some more dough in and give us a chance to stay in this league and to mount a challenge next year whatever division we are in. Too late now though as today is the day!

There's still some that defend him. Our current situation says it all. Yes we need to clear debt. But allowing 5m to 10m wouldn't make a great deal of difference and at least give the manager a chance.
