Ellis Short on the piss in town!

Left the curry house £1800 tip.

Fair play to him, nice that he is getting in the town and mixing with hard working mackems and enjoying the week with us.

We all know Paolo is mad but Short is meant to be as well if the telling Pardew to fuck off really happened. And the time he leant over the stand and shouted at Crouch how he made a mistake not joining us

It wasn't a £1800 tip. That was the cost of the meals and drinks in the restaurant. The tip was a couple of hundred.

Does he have digs up this way then or just stay in Seaham Hall when he comes up for matches?

He bought everyone's meals and drinks!

How come?

I don't understand the 'tipping culture' in the U.S.

Is it just for service staff and is it because they're poorly paid or something?

Bugger ,we were going to go there and went to Bellini's instead!

Pretty much. US federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr (£4.75), but for service staff it's $2.13 (£1.40) and they're expected to make the rest up with tips.

Edit: It varies by state but service staff get the shaft pretty much anywhere.

so to summarise April.

  • We sack our 'messiah' equivalent manager.
  • We appoint the footballing equivalent of Hitler.
  • Ex-foreign Secretary resigns from the board.
  • Media shit storm ensues. 'Fans' fighting fans to see who is the most outraged.
  • We go into the derby on a 'downward spiral'
  • Our second highest goal scorer travels up with the fans on the Metro, and is videoed leading a song
  • 0-3
  • Smoke Bombs, wheelchairs, riot, bins, bottles, horses, bookmarked.
  • People who don't know each other have a whip round for some kets, for a horse they haven't met. Oh, the horse lives in Leeds.
  • We go into a match against our second bogey team, after lashing our first one, expecting fuck all. We put them away 1-0.
  • Texan Billionaire goes for a curry. In Seaburn. buys poppadoms for entire city of Sunderland, and a pint too for good measure.

Owt missing? :cool::cool:

edit: need to add one
mad italian bastard wrecks suit

Brilliant - abut sums it up.

I am about to join the Monday club today - not done it for ages. Still on a high

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that was Di Canio's fault ;)

At the moment we can give it credit.

Yesterdays session I was very animated apparently - my Scottish pal explained it away to the Flipper girls as three ghosts died. Thatcher, Newcastle and Everton.

Spot on, but people can make careers out of being service staff. My mother owns a bar/restaurant outside of Dallas and I would walk away with more than $100 cash in hand per shift most of the time.

It's a while since i've felt this good on a monday.
Didn't even get a nosh on Saturday night either...
