I always felt the judgments on this lad were a bit hasty. He's really not played a lot of football, especially for someone his age. He should have been out on loan last summer.

I agree with this, but he’s not the young. It’s still a fair point as injuries have prevented him getting as much experience.

Blackpool - no defeats in their last 5 games, so not doing that badly now. Has Embleton been playing?

Right, but in a funny way your point gives evidence to mine. We're very binary with how consider a footballer's age. Ideally you want them to be playing some form of senior football from 18. If that's been disrupted, and then they get a cameo here or there you're never going to be able to see what is possible. The loan system is far from ideal (I'm torn on it) but realistically, the idea he's finished or not good enough, won't really shake out for two-three years. In the current side, full of confidence, I think he'd be a diamond.

He is not good enough ,doesnt impact games at all, never has even at junior levels.
Embleton has represented England from under-17 to under-20 level.[9] In May 2017, Embleton was included in an England U20 squad for the 2017 Toulon Tournament.[10] He scored in the semi-final against Scotland.[11] In the final, Embleton converted his penalty during the shoot-out as England defeated Ivory Coast to win the tournament.[12]

In July 2018, Embleton was included in the England U19 squad for the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.[13] He scored in the opening group match against Turkey.[14]
