He’s done enough to start the season which is good as Pritchard probably won’t be ready for a few weeks.
100% he should start the season and I would say is one that definitely will. The others being Burge Flanagan Doyle Evans Luke Geeds Gooch both if fit and Stewart

No he didnt do it ,unless you think 1 goal is acceptable return, fuck me man even shitty nOAB scored about 4 or so.As i say if yesterday becomes the norm i will show my arse in Binns window while eating humble pie.
Intransigence is not a positive trait. I will be sad if it turns out that Embleton is shite, for him and for SAFC. My guess is that you won't be, because you'll feel vindicated. Elliot Embleton repeatedly got selected for a side that got promoted. He must have been doing something right.

I have said umpteen times I want him to succeed it would save the club a fortune.

But you’re completely disregarding his form for Blackpool. He might not have scored or assisted much but he played well and helped the team, he attributed to key attacks and key bits of play for them.

Always had ability, but I think he's now got the confidence to use it. Having a run of games is so important, and the stint at Blackpool seems to have done him the world of good. Hope it continues.

Me i have gave him MOM last night i will always praise or criticize where needed. So its high praise from me,hope i am eating humble pie all season
It’s not really about humble pie but it’s nice to see he’s showing you in a Sunderland shirt what he can do - think he will be a big player this year

Think he doubted himself which is understandable playing for us, the loan to Blackpool has made him confident and made him realise he’s good enough

Hope the lad does well as his family are all huge SAFC fans from Witton Gilbert outside Durham City, and he turned down some big Premier League clubs when he turned professional for us.

Highly rated at various junior levels for England it would seem staying clear of injuries and getting a run in the team to build his confidence are key.
