I really like him but I'd be surprised.I think he'll be picked up by championship club
Can't see it from JR he has seemingly ignored McGeoch as an option for 2 players well past their best so he'll be gone and IMO we'll be left with the 2 expensive, slow sidewards and backward passers who will chop and change as their legs give up ! Think onion will be gone and I'm completely indifferent about power who flatters to deceive. Honeyman will continue to try and we will suffer accordingly. Can't see JR suddenly resolving in pre season what a succession of managers have systematically failed to do ! Some of them thought the likes of Buckley et al were the answer !!
Not really I think under JR and him sticking with most of the current squad which I think he will particularly in the middle and up front I reckon playoffs at best again. If he could offload Cattermole and Oviedo and Grigg (who I don't think wants to be here) to free up money and somehow hang on to McGeady and not rely on Leadbitter and Honeyman and invest in some pace and strength I might be more optimistic but I can't see it. And I'll be damned if I am going back to f***ing Wembley for an 8th defeatBloody hell marra.....that's a depressing post. Any optimism for the future?

do you disagree with it though ?Bloody hell marra.....that's a depressing post. Any optimism for the future?

Did you watch Sunderland in league one? We have none of the aboveI think mobility is more important than physicality/height.
My thoughts exactly. You know the rules though. Anybody who is injured or out of the team becomes a world beater. There's a lot of people putting a lot of pressure on this lad to do well and he could easily end up being another Honeyman or Gooch.
He's somehow managed to gain the reputation of a brilliant footballer without kicking a ball for us.
If he stays then great but I won't be losing any sleep I'd he doesn't.
Also got League 2 PFA player of the month fans award for December 2018, but suffered a really nasty hamstring tear towards the end of the season. Not good, and still recovering. Hopefully it won't plague him for the rest of his career.By all accounts did very well at Grimsby last season, their fans rate him and I was reading he was behind a lot of their best attacking play. League below and no guarantee he'll make the step up and all that but the fact he's gone away on a season's loan at somewhere other than Gateshead or Hartlepool and done well can only be a good sign.
Maybe he feels like he's not wanted by us. I can see where he's coming from. Would liked to have seen him get the odd run out, last season
On what basis ? We seemed to regress as the season wore on ! We pressed higher up the pitch early doors and seemed more attacking. If he is as you say an intelligent manager why didn't he learn during the season. We got more and more negative and couldn't settle on a key 11. The problems were/are obvious, but he seems to prefer 'experience' over youth ?! I wish I had your confidence that he's suddenly going to see the light after the way he performed with the total pool of players he had at his disposalYes,I do. I think Ross is an intelligent manager who will learn from the mistakes of last season and make the necessary corrections.
To be honest,I'd be more worried about Ross if we'd have gone up.

Yeah, you'd think he'd provide an option where Honeyman or Magiure play through the middle, but then that's easy to say without knowing exactly where he's atHopefully gets a chance to impress then mate. Our current midfield options depress me greatly.
If he isn't more effective offensively than the current lot then he wouldn't get a game with me and my pals on a Tuesday night.Yeah, you'd think he'd provide an option where Honeyman or Magiure play through the middle, but then that's easy to say without knowing exactly where he's at.
he had the same experience of the league as the barnsely manager and a lower turnover of players..He had no experience of the league and a large turnover of players at the start. I agree with much of what you say about losing some of the attacking attitude and him preferring experience, but I think he'll come at this next season with a different approach. Time will tell.
