Hope he gets a game against wolves.

I am an avid Brucey supporter but I felt he missed a beat against Everton by not sticking him on Baines, think he'd of won everything in the air on the day.

Also, if what a wolves fan said on another thread is true and their left back Elokobi is poor, it could be a good day for Elmo to get a run out.

I was on here all last week saying Elmo should start because of Baines being a short arse, then the game comes and he doesn't get long but he got the chance to win one header which he won easily and almost set up a goal with it. I thought it was quite strange we didn't try to take advantage of such a big mismatch that was in our favour. Elmo being on would have stopped Baines bombing on so much and getting lots of crosses in too.

Bit of an error by Bruce imo but we got a point and could have won it, so can't complain.

Elmo will still be adjusting to the Premier League though, so can't expect him to be consistent or to start every week.

Elmo on the right, Zenden back on the left, Richardson to drop to left back, Bardsley right back and Onuoha in place of Ferdinand.

Solves the Ferdinand problem and gives us a more balanced midfield.

steed or elmo, one has to start which is a shame

If Zenden is out for the game then why not both playing? Steed going in the middle with Cattermole, and with Elmo on the left and Henderson on the right. Kieran Richardson's best position for me, because everyone else says so, is left back.

I am assuming when Zenden was subbed for Steed, Steed either went in the middle with Cattermole or Steed went on the left with Richardson slotting in the middle.

I'm sure he thought about it, but can you really blame him for sticking with the team that beat Chelsea? Very unfair if he'd dropped anyone.

Suppose its a good sign that even with all these injuries we still have lots of other options. Personally on saturday I would go with

-------------Gordon
Bardsley Onouha Ferdinand Richardson
--------------Catts
Elmo----------------------- Welbeck
------------Malbranque
------------Gyan Bent

And that team is capable of beating wolves. Our squad depth is really being tested atm and I think we are coping very well.

He has been f***ing garbage in every away game this season

He has only really played in 3 away games. He was subbed 1st half against Wigan (sending off/injury) and Newcastle (tactical).

In 2 of the 3 games (West Brom/Blackburn) he has played the whole team were poor.

He porbably had about 4 touches of the ball in the Wigan and Mags games.
Can't comment on WBA. Didn't think the whole team were poor agaisnt Blackburn, but Elmo certainly was

I think he was the wrong man to be taken off against the Mags. The brief time he was on he showed he had the beating of Enrique in the air and on the ground.

Against Liverpool he wasn't great but was better when moved to right back in the second half.

I believe right back is his proper position so maybe this could be an option for the away games if Nedum has to play centre back.

i have a feeling we ain't going to see nedum at CB. think the back four will be
onuoha, PDS, ferdinand, bardsley
with richardson somewhere in midfield, especially if bolo is out.
perhaps
elmo, cattermole, richardson, malbranque
resting jordan.
