Ekwah

I have never seen a player with a worse first touch than Ekwah had today. Woeful. Bellingham showed him exactly how to take the ball and protect it with your back to goal. If we’d been playing a decent team, Ekwah would have given away a hatrick today.

Defo his worst game but he did his best to rectify any mistakes and end result helped hide display .
Hoping he learns from it as he still a bairn

Let's hope it was just a bad day at the office. So much potential but utterly horrific today.
I felt sick with nerves every time he had the ball. At one point, I thought ‘let’s bring Pritch on’ - and then remembered his error-strewn performance last time out. But we got away with everything, so good.

Worse - 4 times - a kind of Doku in reverse.

Had a bad game but so what? He didn’t do every single thing wrong, didn’t hide. We won the game anyway and I’m sure he won’t play like that regularly.

I haven’t read through the previous posts, but Ekwah needs a rocket up him atm. He has got great attributes on the ball and is using his physicality better, but his lack of positional discipline and unwillingness to track his man caused us major problems today. Personally, I thought he was also trying way too much of the flash stuff. I don’t know if the attention has gone to his head or if the lack of competition is causing a bit of complacency, but that was a really selfish performance.
In fairness, I think he’s more suited to the role Dan Neil is playing, but he needs to do the job he’s asked to do, not the one that he wants to do

Needs to rest up for the first half of international break and then come back with fire in his belly. I'm sure he'll be disappointed with his performance when he looks back at it.
One poor match doesn't make him a shit player in the same way that one good match doesn't make him a world beater. He's a young boy playing mens football for the first time and making the step up from 23s to the Championship is a big jump. He has time on his side and will hopefully find a bit of consistency and grow and develop. He's a laid back character but needs to be able to add some bite to his game and dominate that midfield.

If had wud have...give him a break, after next game is time to judge.....I love ant player with the balls and physical attributes to break from midfield and NOT do the safe shit option sideways back...sounds like square dancing for hillbillies

I was very critical of him at the SoL today but Im watching the match on Sky now. It’s 56 minutes and he’s had a decent game really. Ok he’s made a couple of mistakes but he’s been involved a lot and had a lot of the ball.

yep, had a very decent game
