I wouldn't go that far with Peyper, he's not great admittedly, but we tend to do ok with him in charge of our games.makes Steve Walsh seem a good ref

Ok steady now. He may be incompetent but he doesn't get close to the galactic levels of self-regarding twattery of fuckface Walsh

Bit of a mixed bag there. The matchday 23 is obviously 30% more handsome with the return of Henry Slade. But Jones has clearly retreated into 2018 mode where he wouldn't consider anyone outside a core group even with injuries. We continue with the unproven experiment of playing without a recognised 8, return to the failed experiment of a lock at 6, and now Jonathan Joseph starts out of position on the wing rather than give the promising Thorley a chance. Add to that no Harry Williams for lolz, and the 6 - 2 split on the bench. This simultaneously limits our options in the backs, and offers nothing extra to the forwards because one of the 6 is Charlie f***ing Ewels
Ireland by 10.
Jones clearly going to go high pace/smash ball. Thing is Irelands defence is quite good. If it isn’t working he hasn’t a plan B. England can’t change things when they don’t bully teams off the park.Eddie The Joker Jones names his team for the big Ireland match

What is it exactly with Jones & playing people out of position?Eddie The Joker Jones names his team for the big Ireland match

He’s arrogant. It is to prove a point when questioned in the pressWhat is it exactly with Jones & playing people out of position?
I'm trying to find a pattern:
He's playing a 4 at 6, a 13 at 11, a 10 at 12 and a 6 at 8. Perhaps he's got a particularly niche form of OCD where every player has to have a shirt number exactly 2 away from their proper position
I could've sworn we'd pledged never darken this thread with his name again...makes Steve Walsh seem a good ref
When this thread started he was still busy spoiling every game he was involved with and I seem to remember most of us absolutely dreading the possibility of him ruining our World Cup campaign. At least he fucked off in advance of it so we could ruin it ourselves.I could've sworn we'd pledged never darken this thread with his name again...
I'm usually a couple of drinks in to any 6N or International but Walsh would make me worry about an embolism or seizure! I dreaded him officiating any England game...When this thread started he was still busy spoiling every game he was involved with and I seem to remember most of us absolutely dreading the possibility of him ruining our World Cup campaign. It is. Catt cool as fuck basically said I don't know what he's complaining about
I'm pleased that Garcès is a much better ref than Walsh and hopefully won't let the crowd dictate the breakdown like that wanker did two years ago.
This is sightly harsh bumping, but while we're on the subject of Walsh I'm shocked by this praise of Garcès
