Egg chasers of the SMB

I'm not going to rule out arrogance, but there's also a definite lack of rugby brains on the field to sort things out when it's going badly
Scrum half issue. Amount of times they could have gone wide at the line and didnt, they don't have that direction, the pack are often operating blind and the backs which are actially really good are deprived of quick ball. Cant be a worlds best team without a world class 9.

Young is shocking, can’t see us moving forward as a team if he keeps getting picked.

This performance & the WC final show how much we can regress. The "old farts" have missed the opportunity that Farrell & Edwards could've given. I like Jones, his ambition is clear to see, the problems with English rugby are deep rooted, class-ridden superiority complex. It needs to change...

Not convinced by Farrell as head coach but undoubtedly we should be pulling out the stops to get Shaun Edwards.

Been the case since Carling said that though eh. Our one coach who actually made us World class and delivered a WC was ignored.

Yes weve been in 2 finals since but with the resources England have and with how the likes of Gatland, Schmidt, Edward's have delivered with far less it's really a below par return at best.

England have been an inconsistent side for a long time now.
They can reach great heights but the next game really plumb the depths.
They even managed it within one game last season against Scotland.

I can't see how it can change, other nations will outstrip us very quickly. I spend a lot of time in Wales & envy their core values. Liam Williams played for a works side ffs, can you imagine that concept even considered in England

General reaction to the weekend’s games?

Wales look ok but that Italy team was not much of a test. If they try that North at outside centre malarkey again they might come unstuck.

Ireland still know how to defend and compete at the breakdown but didn’t do much in attack. We’ve seen them win unconvincingly then go on to win the 6N enough times before, we just don’t know if they can still do it under Farrell. The next match will tell us more.

Scotland actually looked pretty good at times but will be fuming at the number of times they coughed the ball up, and Hogg dropping the ball over the line was criminal. You never know how they will go in their next game - they could react well and play the same good rugby and actually convert some chances, or they could fold up.

In terms of Scotland’s next game, they must be hoping their opponents continue to be this maddening and self-destructive. England and Eddie Jones appear to have hit the headless chicken button, as they sometimes do. Their old weaknesses still apparent - unconvincing half backs, inability to react when things don’t go their way, occasionally just playing shit even when they seem to be in good form - with a new twist from Jones’s Random Decision Generator - no number 8, which would have been all right if we’d played a game that didn’t depend on big carrying in heavy traffic, but we never do that so what the f***ing fuck, Eddie?

As for France - they look promising, and it’s to their benefit that they were able to ease into the 6N with a home win against a team that played into their hands. The coach will hopefully do the same again and having bedded in a little bit, they might continue to do well and build some consistency. Their set piece is a bit suspect though, and a team that isn’t determined to shit the bed for 80 minutes and has some grunt in that area could do a number on them.

Top 6N assessing, there...

Russell dropped from the Scotland squad again. He must have really had a session on the beers.

Hastings looked very good mind

He wasn't dropped the first time, he walked out.
He should be binned for the rest of the 6N in my view.
I'm no fan of Townsend but what Russell did was deeply disrespectful to both his coach and team mates.
What he's done since on social media is just as bad.
Thinks he's the dogs balls. He's actually a massive c**t.
