Egg chasers of the SMB

He’s a top ref. Comes in for some unbelievable criticism because he’s English
Didn’t know much about him tbf but was surprised by the stat that Ireland have lost 6 out of the 10 6 nations games he’s ref’d

Like both teams, there's a cigarette paper between first and second
Be great to get to number 1. Not sure we’ve ever been ranked number 1 at anything except maybe riverdance!

He's made a few dodgy decisions over the years, although he's definitely improved recently.

As long as we're number one on Saturday 2nd November 2019

Thought if we won today we went top? Can’t be much in it now

Not much in it, but NZ is still on top. This is the new ranking. Last week it was NZ 93.58; Ireland 90.12.

New ranking:
1 New Zealand 92.54 (-1.05)
2 Ireland 91.17 (+1.05)
3 Wales 86.70
4 England 85.54

He has improved a lot (now that he is going to retire)! He has had some howlers against Ireland (usually) v. Wales. He loves Wales (he went to school there) and let them get away with blue murder. Always though he talked down to players a bit. Anyway, the Kiwis hate him because he missed a forward pass for a try against France which knocked them out of the world cup in 2007.

Its actually played in all 16, lost 10 and won 6.

what ever you think of Barnes I will raise you Steve Walsh.

Now there’s an unbelievable bias referee. His hatred for England was ridiculous.

We know all about Steve Walsh - he actually abused Shane Horgan on the 2005 Lions Tour - think he might have been suspended by the IRB for it. I think his problem was he just loved himself.

Hopefully all teams involved maintain this level through next year. Level of parity probably not seen in the professional era across the hemispheres
