Egg chasers of the SMB

Another cracking win for the Falcons. Awful points difference for their position, but always seem to win these tight matches.
Don’t think they will beat wasps to that fourth spot but it’s in their own hands. Play off finish and potential european final. Not a bad season all in all.

Hope they don’t stop the 10 quid tickets for affiliated rugby club members though if they do

Not sealed yet, but that shock Bath win almost secures Newcastle's top 4 finish. Worst they can finish is 5th and to even finish there, the Falcons would have to lose to Wasps by more than 7 and not score 4 tries, coupled with Leicester winning at fellow top 6 chasing Sale (who could leapfrog Leicester with a win) with a 4 try bonus point.

It'll be a travesty if Newcastle don't finish top 4 now, they really deserve it after the season they've had.

Bath could still pinch a top 6 spot with a TBP win at home to London Irish, as long as Gloucester come away with nothing from Sarries away and Sale get no more than 2 points against Leicester.

What an incredible day, smashing Gloucester at Kingsholm, rugby doesn't get any better than this!

Never uploaded a pic before so that probably didn't work.

If anyone's vaguely interested, I spent yesterday morning at the Chiefs training session then met the players after. My sons mother in law works for the company that does their accounts. Nothing was too much trouble, all polite, modest and friendly, Johnny Faauli could see we were strangers and came over to say "hi I'm Johnny".

Damien McKenzie was happy to spend as long as we wanted and head coach Colin Cooper spent 10 minutes with us explaining the significance to the players of the differing colours of the home, away and training kits. I don't suppose Mourinho would have the first idea other than which one makes the most cash in China.

Solly Alamailo, Sam Cane, Anton Lienert-Brown, Tyler Ardron, all absolutely top blokes.

Sorry to be a bore, but when you hear about Rodwell, Stephen Fletcher, Mickey Gray and dozens of others taking the piss, it was a joy to spend an hour in these humble guys' company.

we used to have falcons players coach us, both at school and at the club, and they were so down to earth. to see Jonny Wilkinson, the bloke who won the world cup for England, in the flesh playing touch with a few school lads, sharing his kicking tips and having a bit crack was surreal, but also a brilliant example on how the grassroots to pro relationship in rugby is waaaaay different to soccer.

Jamie Noon came to coach us once. "this is how you correctly hold a tackle shield so you have a firm stance"

"bang"

Straight on his arse
