Think there will be shocks, depends what Div we are in,and will be led by our medical people think also.
I think the ones iv mentioned regardless of division, wyke only if we are in league one, I think we need a new contract for diamond as well

Changes everything this, ridiculous they ever tried to introduce it in the form they did. The EFL has to be the most clueless governing body in football.

That statement is saying the process of no consultation was wrong. Not the rule itself. Anyone else reading it like that?

Was mental that it was ever allowed in the first place as it was clearly nothing to do with sustainability. No problem with rules which mean teams have to spend within their means but to implement the same cap on everyone was completely nonsensical.

Wonderful news this. Mark Catlin is an absolute saviour of the pyramid.

From what I gather, whilst the PFA’s case was about the PFNCC, Catlin has been making representations on behalf of the ‘against’ clubs in L1 about how there is a willingness to remunerate players in line with what can be afforded, and how it’s impacted job security, which has strengthened the union’s case.

As time has gone on, the ‘7’ clubs who voted against have become more of a ‘5’ Ourselves, yourselves, Ipswich, Charlton and Hull. Plymouth and Oxford have been a bit less bothered by it all.

That doesn’t mean that’s it for cost control though. The PFA accepts there’s an appetite for cost control, and SCMP isn’t good enough, although that’s what we’ve reverted to. What is now gone is this stupid ‘one-size-fits-all’ cap that was abused by the real non-entities in this league as means of a power grab.
