Why do some people think its a good idea to get into their cars around the stadium right after the game and try to wade though the fans leaving ,ok they may have disabilities but if that was me i'd wait till the crowd cleared .

Anybody in row 30+,in East Stand has the right to leave early, otherwise you will be in the last few hundred to leave the stadium at the end of the match.

Yes, and anyone that denies it is a liar or deluded.

Every club has some early leavers, but we have MILES more. I have followed SAFC around the country (and in to Europe pre season) and watched football in Melbourne and in between. I love SAFC but we are the worst for it by some distance.
Is our exit system particularly bad compared to others?

Or just stay till the end -nee excuses about having to get back to feed the neighbours budgie ........
;)
feeding the horse is an exception ;)

edit : depends on what ya neighbors like obviously, so if ya from Stanley still nee excuse

When we were still at Roker I worked with a Rangers fan who used to moan like fuck about their fans doing the same at Ibrox, couldn't understand it at the time. I know what he means now. Looked shite on MOTD at the end.

You could bulldoze the east stand and have no difference in atmosphere. In fact it might actually improve.

No. If anything it is easier to get away with metro, trains, park and ride all on hand.

I think it is just habit wth our fans, that en masse people think it is ok / normal.

People moaning about work at 5pm, beat traffic, park and ride queues. Run / jog then ya lazy bassas!

I never leave my seat 3 rows from back until final whistle, never have problems.

"I've paid my money therefore I have a right to boo Sunderland, and the right to leave when I want, it's a free country"
Aye, f***ing well done, cheers for embarrassing our supporters and club

So people should go to work late?
Firstly, I never said that.

Secondly, my point was unless there is stupid amounts of injury time you can stay to the end and be on high street west by 5 without too much effort. How many do you see doing a light jog after match because they are in a hurry? I would guess very few. People seem in a hurry to leave the stadium though.

And in any case, I don't think anyone would criticise those with genuine reasons, but we all know the majority don't, they just make a choice to leave.

I recall years ago chants of 'I'm staying 'til the end', yet it is worse than ever now.

I have still yet to have a valid reason why thousands do it.
