Would be a 7 year life cycle for ps4 overall though which would be the same as the ps3 so it's probably people just putting 2 and 2 together

If MS and Sony hadn't both released iterations mid gen I'd think it was about time too.

I bought an xbox one in 2015, a ps4 in 2016, an xbox one x in 2017 and a ps4 pro in 2018.

If they think I'll be spending £5/600 on a brand new console less than 3 years after the Pro was released, they'd be absolutely correct
