You forgot to mention Rushworth in that list, 30 wickets at around 16 apiece in the last 7 CC games.

Ooopps

His attitude has been outstanding and he's taken what was probably his last chance at the club very well indeed.

I don't think that true at all, to me Rushworth was always going to be a replacement for Davies/ Thorp when they went. Davies has gone and I can't see Thorp playing on much longer.

I had the chance to sit and talk with Benkinstein early in the season and Rushworth's name came up as one of the players the club were looking to carry on when the more senior players began to retire. It's a pity politics got in the way the first half of the season or he may have got the chance to play a lot sooner. Harmy/ Plunkett playing when not performing?

Maybe but he turned down 5 offers at the start of the season, he was very determined to get it right at Durham.

The Harmison/Plunkett selection for the Somerset game was a disgrace but rumours will be rumours about who picked them. Either way it was a disgrace.

Rushworth has performed well (nearly voted for him today for player of the season, but picked Onions). He's a canny lad who just wanted a chance to prove what he could do this season.
