Durham v Notts (H) 16/5/25

Spot on

Just 1 more on the pitches. They ain’t perfect. But we have had 2 games which are 2 of the best counties games I have seen.

You are spot on about Campbell tho, so many teams would have taken the draw here. The players don’t think like that

We need to keep that attitude and remember it at all times

They all absolutely love Campbell, and he's saved the careers at Durham of some who were treated appallingly previously. His mentality is just to allow the players to express themselves and not be scared of making mistakes, previously it was "destructive criticism" . Always remember Borthwick saying the mentality of Campbell was always "how can we win this game" as opposed to "how do we make sure we don't lose" which as we know was the mentality of Franklin and it ruined us and many other things.

The pitches aren't perfect, one assumes it may be down to the dry weather, I'm no expert but the lads have got the win and it will give them huge confidence and rightly so.

Young Minto 17 year old bowling to South African test cricketer and holding his own with the bat against Abbas and Hutton for example, genuinely dream stuff for the lad and he should be proud of his contribution this weekend. Exciting talent we all need to look after.

For us to concede over 700 runs and to win by 7 wickets is an absolutely crazy effort mind, it just shows how much we continue to progress as a team and when I say "team" I literally mean everyone including supporters it's a really good feel factor amongst everyone, everyone pulling in the same direction for the good of the club, that went missing for a while.

On to Somerset now and they're another good side, but a game we should look forward to.

Well I'm home. This is why I do, for moments and endings like that, you just got to love it. Proud of those lads today they have put everything into that. Again it goes back to the Ryan Campbell mentality of "how can we win this game" and it's bloody brilliant and I said that even when we lost Vs Warwickshire, never change Durham. That was outstanding from Ackermann this afternoon, very composed innings after a crazy start. Whole team contributed and that is a very positive sign. An absolutely superb win, one that I'll not forget in a hurry, it was great to watch. Well done Durham

"Whole team contributed"......and we win. No coincidence really and hopefully Durham can keep on a this kind of level. Great performance

Done them in 5 sessions last season, same again please

He may well have done if he wasn't so keen to get off strike in the first ball of two consecutive Raine overs exposing numbers 9 and 10 whose wickets Raine gratefully snapped up

Yep great point

Ive seen Franklin a couple of times around Gateshead Fell over the past couple of years and still feel like i want to give him a slap :D

Great win, really enjoyable finish, plans were scuppered to get down to the ground as the bairn got a call up to the 15's, so watched the end on my phone

I remember our little group mentioning that at the time it was really bizarre given the state of the game as another few overs might have saved them and he was hitting the ball ever so well.

Day1: Team set out their stall.
Day2: Team 2 set out their stall.
Day 3: Moving Day.
Day 4: Dash to the line.

Perfect County cricket!
A good Durham win keeps me going for days.
