Durham v Northants T20 14/7/24 @ 2:30pm

I hope we do get to see Ollie Robinson. I suspect he won’t play a game in the hundred and he could do with some time at the crease, he and Durham would get so much more out of him being with us than the hundred (apart from him getting a few quid I suppose).
Yeah Pooran will probably keep, shame though that Robinson will carry drinks for a month, have a feeling so will Clark

DeLeede is a massive risk as a T20 bowler. He's capable of bowling a wicket takiing delivery but he 's also far too frequently delivering pies. We didn't have to bowl him -Northants only used 4 bowlers.Having said that an 8 overs a side game is a complete lottery-simply a pure slogging contrast- luckiest sloggers the winners.
Bedingham missing too

One Day side probably be something along the lines of the below. Or rather everyone below is who we've got available AFAIK.

Lees
Jones
Borthwick
Ackermann
McKinney
De Leede
Mustard
Raine
Coughlin
Bushnell/Killeen/Hogg/Robinson/Gibson/McAlindon/Brassell/Glover
Drissell
would agree with that selection but a few of those bowlers injured or haven't s being bowling recently i.e. Robinson,Hogg and McAlinden.2nds have a couple of 50 over games this week which should indicate who's available

Presumably Colonel jnr? Care to explain.

They mean for the Hundred. Pooran is one of the Leeds based teams overseas player and is a keeper bat.

So maybe Robinson will just be twiddling his thumbs again when he could/should be playing for Durham.

Yep and that's all anyone in English cricket has cared about for 20 years chasing the £.

Happy to sell the game down the river at any opportunity.

Fewer people watch the Ashes on Sky than they do Crufts.
May be so, but the relevant comparison is how many watch the ashes to watching the Hundred.Or,more relevantly, how much revenue does the Ashes raise compared to the Hundred.

Was more just raising the point that cricket has been on a quest to destroy itself in this country since the 2005 Ashes.

The most they've ever had viewing figures on Sky for a test match was the first test of last year Ashes peaked a 2.12 mil.

Hundred peaked at 1.7 mil. Average down to 400-500k per game, which is what Sky normally get for non Ashes tests I believe.

Ashes 2005 peak viewing figure was 8.4 million a far cry from what really was the countries second sport back then. Darts is a bigger draw for Sky than England cricket now.

There’s was part in a recent “the rest is entertainment” podcast that the ECB fought the government to remove ashes cricket from being a protected sport that had to be aired on free to air tv, like the World Cup euros olympics etc etc
