Durham to play Royal london "home game" in Scarborough

I’ve never had a problem with the South North games as a way of drumming up support

but playing in Yorkshire
I've just noticed that we don't play Yorkhire either H or A in the RLC. That's clearly a deliberate plot by FTECB to avoid any fixture that might compete against Hundred fixtures.
There are only 4 "home" RLC games of which 3 won't be played at Riverside.

I notice the club say it will be laying on transport for the supporters going to Scarborough but wonder if it will free in the same way as Lancs did for their 'home' T20 QF at the Riverside against Essex?

What next?...Edinburgh? Carlisle? Los Angeles?

They want to make it like the One-Day League is Australia where games are played by multiple teams in a location for a bit before moving onto the next one.

Absolutely ridiculous. 140 miles I'd have to drive in total to watch a "home" game I've already paid for. This game will be during the school holidays, you would think the club would be trying hard to encourage bairns to take in a game, but no.... we move in 70 miles south to a place which really isn't accessible via public transport and starts at 11am.

The Hampshire RLODC game on August 4th will be played at an outground, I just hope this is a local outground, but it would not shock me to see Cumbria get a game. Essex at home in the RLODC will be our only home game at CLS.

Durham have 3 concerts. Little Mix 16th July, Westlife 18th July, Buble, 1st August.

Looks like Yorkshire will be playing at Scarborough quite often this year Yorkshire Matches at Scarborough - Scarborough Cricket Club

I'm struggling to even fathom this out to be honest. I like the one day cup and I've accepted the club need to take the game to other parts of the region but Scarborough is an absolute joke.

The amount of clubs in the region that could do with something like this
The article does imply that someone in the actual county of Durham will get a game.

But as @GordonMuchallNo1Fan said won't be long before they go to cumbria too.

"The venue for the Durham Crickets fixture on Tuesday 4 August against Hampshire is yet to be confirmed. The fixture will be played at an out ground in the county for the first time and details will be released early in the new year."

Playing games in Cumbria makes far more sense than playing games in a Yorkshire hotbed.
