Love a good digin like that.

Belmont opener scored 6 in 26 overs in cup final the other week. Got there 2 overs after he was out and missed whole thing. Gutted!

:lol: That would actually be difficult to do, Worst i think ive done is about 28 off 34 overs.
 
@NorthCountryBoy was lucky enough to witness the whole thing so he's better qualified to describe something as brilliant. I do know it took him 15 overs to get off mark.

Agree with your point, surely you edge a four through slips or flick a few of yer pads. Im a VERY slow scorer but this was a diff level
 
i qualify in 2015 . .might have a go at this. can anyone turn up and play?

we didn't even celebrate when he was out!! We wanted to keep him in as long as possible. Proper dig in of the season that one.

Years ago a Boldon CA opener - Ian 'Geordie' Reynolds was on the brink of carrying in his bat when he was run out, going for a third run, for 11 - against Marsden (Boldon got about 120 or so).

In effect he'd scored 9 out of 118 before setting off for that final flourish ...... we were happy to keep him in while we concentrated on getting the wickets at the othe end.
