I reckon most Durham fans,would suddenly start to rate him a lot better if he signed for them.

Whole thread a bit silly,England football team was shit at their World Cup,does that mean the England players would not get in Sunderlands side of course not,they would walk into it,same principle applies with England and Durham cricket players IMO.

Futile argument, firstly football is different to cricket but secondly I'd back half a dozen Premier League sides to beat England.

Back to the cricket, which England players would you pick for Durham?

It's a futile exercise.

There's no one in the Durham side who is better than any in the England side apart from Stokes. Not saying we don't have good players but the England players have (clearly) played at a higher level and from time to time done well. Plus, I'd like to keep many for the Durham lads because they're local and because of sentiment.

But we should be clear England are poor team. They're a bunch on individuals who are good players but who together at the moment are less than the sum of their parts. Those batsmen are better than the Bangladesh batsmen as are the bowlers they just haven't played like it.

Teams that win combine talent and spirit. Ireland do that, India do that even Scotland do that but England don't.
