Durham CCC POTY

The Duke for me, but seeing as he's played half of the season I can't see him getting it.(although I'm mainly on about in the championship)

Rocky will probs win it, mind colly is in with a shout due to his 50 over performances.

Hastings for me. Created some great excitement with the bat in the T20s and bowled really well in most (though not all) games.

Colly a close 2nd.

Colly for me by a country mile.
Hastings only here half a season and batting has let him down
Rocky has been inconsistent in his batting, he must learn to move his feet early on instead of just wafting and his limited over captaincy has been poor

Very odd but members have until next week to vote for POTY which seems very silly but anyway who would get your vote......
What's your thoughts Gordy?

I'm with Coughlin for YPOTY, though Jennings has just quietly got on with his job

TBH the three POTY contenders have to be Colly, Hastings and Stoneman. Rocky has let us down a bit with his captaincy which probably cost us three matches, yet we're in the semi final! Colly in the County games has not been brilliant, though he's come up with the goods this week. Meanwhile, Hastings was only there for half the season and has been inconsistent with the bat and he took a while to get into his bowling rhythm. Overall I'm leaning towards Colly.

I think after what I witness during the Notts game it will be Collingwood for me, it was a stunning innings and the way he batted so tactically on Tuesday morning was very clever cricket only a select few would be capable of.

I just think it's stupid we have to have votes in so soon, they surely could have allowed us to hand votes in during the LVCC Northants game.

Hastings has been very good for us and I'd be delighted if he returned next season.

YPOTY, I'd have to say Jennings, he just goes about his business without any fuss and is maturing loads. Coughlin will get better and better and has taken his chance very well indeed.

Yup, that sums it up pretty well - thought Colly's captaincy was spot on too against Notts. Good fielding placings and bowling changes that all seemed to pay off. Can't wait for Middlesex now ....

seems to be quite a thing for our youngsters to burst onto the scene, coughlin & chase both making stunning debuts, buckley last year also taknig 5 for in his first match, hope they can continue to develop. jennings' bowling has improved alot and also i've been impressed by his ability to bat at one day clip when in the long game he doesn't look like he would be suited to it at all.

Colly & Jennings for me but without hastings we would be going down and coughlin has been very impressive at times too and have very high hopes for him.

once again it seems to have worked in our favour having these injury problems as it has allowed players to make debuts that they wouldn't have otherwise. we will have a ridculously busy seam department next year if onions, rushworth, wood, arshad, harrison, coughlin, main and chase are all fit and pushing for selection

That number of seamers will cause no end of welcome headaches for the selectors, but is it sustainable? Would welcome a couple of decent spinners coming through the ranks anarl .....

Hastings is on the radar of Hampshire. Source = someone who knows benks.

I was talking to one of the members who'd attended a Q & A event with Breeze and Hastings. The question of next season was raised and Hastings said he'd love it, but A) it was down to the club and B) there may be a problem for him getting a work permit as his last International game was so long ago he may not have the qualifications to get a work visa .....
