Dubai/Hong Kong stop-overs advice needed...

Need a cash option...

Put your money on a revolut or Monzo card and withdraw it from an ATM in local currency at the destination airport.

Neither of those places usually accept sterling. If you absolutely must take cash with you, get it changed over here. Travelex online have decent rates and you can pick it up in the airport on the way.

Just whack it on your normal card, it might cost a fiver extra but will save f***ing about
Absolute nonesense. I was using my Monzo card in Abu Dhabi to buy a bar of chocolat for less than a quid.Following your logic it would be six quid for a Snickers. I am going to Dubai on Friday and all purchases will be made with Monzo.

Got a Post office MasterCard , just use as normal in local currency, you end up paying the bank rate on the day rather than the commission conversion rate .

Just bang everything on it , apart from a few bob for taxis , saying that in Dubai last week Uber taxis have set up there as well.

Saved a few bob over the years with that.

Post Office MC is backed by one of the Irish banks .
