Drinking

Cocker Spaniel x Labradoodle.

Sadly she's decided that she's going to bark non-stop every time she gets taken to a pub in the past few weeks so no more drinking with the dog until she gets spayed.
Yeah. I like the idea of a walk and a few in the local with the dog but will he fuck shut up and keep still atm. Probs still too young tbf.

It's about time some boffin in a lab rattled up some calorie free lager like. I can live with my liver being pickled, but not the swollen kite squeezing against my belt buckle from too much over indulgence.
Was drinking Michelob Ultra the other day. Only 70 odd calories a 330ml can. Bog standard lager mind but not bad for a few pre-wine cold ones.

What breed's yours and how old?

She was cush for the first few months but now she's 7 months and she's just a little bastard. She sets off the other dogs as well so as soon as she starts I have to fuck off.

Love a few ales or wine or G&T in the house watching my tele, especially if its tele I want to watch in peace! Just a few each night, normally Fri, Sat and Sunday if am not out. Try not to during week. I look forward to a few on a Friday tho.

After a while a bottle of red stops giving you a buzz. So you have one and a half...or two. I used to smoke too so some nights I was spending nearly forty quid on making myself ill at home. Ridiculous.
Had to stop drinking to stop smoking and I’m glad I did.

Never drink during the week and currently in a no booze phase that I go through to get back into shape.

Only drink in the house with the other half if we are cooking a nice meal at a weekend so will get a bottle of wine.

Have 8 cans of lager under the stairs that I bought originally for the trip back from Wembley, they will remain untouched until a bbq at some point in August.

Will have the odd whisky on a weekend but that's something I drink to enjoy and appreciate, not to get pissed.

In the house in the week during the evening. Becoming an every day occurrence with a bottle of red. Never used to do it when I lived with my parents. Been in my flat just over a year and for the past 6 months love a drop on a school night. Not to get pissed or owt, just relaxing.

Starting to think I may need to slow down, but I’m only 28 so maybe I shouldn’t worry too much.

Anyone else indulge a little too much?
I was quite heavy on it when I first moved out into my own place. I'm 31 now and have the odd few bottles after work depending on what shift I'm on. Looking back I used to drink a fair amount in the house, pleased I don't now. It's not something I made an effort to stop doing, I just stopped enjoying it. Mind, the older I get the hangovers get worse so that may have something to do with it.

That and money are the reasons I don’t bother during the week (Mon-Thurs), apart from on rare occasions. On the plus side it makes Friday afternoons all the more sweeter when they come round because I always can’t wait for my first beer.

i drink in the house, mainly because with 3 kids and limited babysitting options, i dont really get out much.
I try to keep it to a weekend however.... cant be going into work hungover anymore, i'm past all that. Plus i now go to the gym at 6am on a morning during the week, that sharp stopped the drinking the night before!

Drinking is a social activity.

Other than an odd bottle of beer if I'm cutting the grass or cooking I never drink in the house.

Always plenty in for when friends come round but can't see any enjoyment sitting in front the tele knocking it back.

That's not to say I don't go to the pub 3 or 4 times a week

Why don't you just not drink at the pub and just enjoy the social aspect?

Our lass is off out tonight so looks like i'll be enjoying Love Island with a bottle of chilled white. What a life.

Neighbour's just texted me saying he'll be in the boozer from 5 bells.

It's happening.
Mind socialising with the neighbours is a risky old business mate. Can backfire if not done correctly. Be careful and good luck.

I quite often take my lasses folks’ Westie pup to the pub with me.

He’s good as gold as long as you can tuck him under a bench with a chew of some description and pop him on your knee for the occasional look around.
