No it isn't! I've done it for years, most people drink at home, mind getting shit faced is a problem, but then it would be if you did that on a night out too.I enjoy it, like the taste etc. I do go through phases where i can go weeks without fancying a drink, then other times when i'll go to the pub on me own with the paper for a few pints. I like the fact i don't seem to have any sort of reliance on alcohol.
Occasionally have a drink at home but it will only be a few bottles. Never understand folk who will happily sit at home and get shit-faced by themselves. First sign of a problem that.

How, just out of interest?
Nothing sad about that, he's just winding down!! different if he was falling about the place pissed, just goes to show how easily people are brain washed into thinking the way those that be wan't them to think!! they did it with smoking and they're working their way through drink now, now that is sad.Well, i think most people who drink more than they can handle will understand that its not idealistic. However, this is something that seems to stem from getting caught up in the moment of social occasions. When this escalates to sitting at home by yourself, drinking about 12 cans, there is just no need for it in my opinion. The same with folk who drink every day. Me dar will drink about 2 or 3 cans a night at home and i find that pretty sad.

I'm having a nice bottle of red tonight!I'm looking forward to it too.I dont think that is sad, my mate will have a couple of cans of cider then crack open a bottle of wine at home and drink that himself, nowt sad in that imo.
Social drinker mainly, although once in a while I'll really fancy a pint after work when I'm not meant to be out. Never drink in the house and can give it a miss for weeks with no problems at all.
If I gave up going to the match, I could easily quit the drink I reckon.
All this "drinking in the house and your an alcy" shit, was drummed up by the owld boys, so they could fuck off down the pub away from the missus every night, what difference does it make where you drink?
