Disgraceful

TWO and a half years ago goalkeeper Luke McCormick was jailed for killing two boys in a drink-drive smash.
Yesterday he was out enjoying the Bank Holiday with his fiancée and young son.

Amanda and Phil Peak would probably have been doing something similar if McCormick hadn't devastated their lives by ploughing into their car, leaving sons Arron and Ben dead. Phil was crippled for life.

The ex-Plymouth Argyle player was twice the booze limit as he drove on the M6 "like an idiot" after just two hours sleep.

He got seven years. The maximum sentence is 14.

He's been in two cushy jails with easy jobs and plenty of perks.

Yesterday he was all smiles as he celebrated his son's second birthday on a shopping and dining jaunt.

Not exactly what you'd call throwing the book at him.

McCormick will be released soon, having served his time. Perhaps to return to his lucrative career.

Let's hope he doesn't forget this:

The Peaks are just three years into their life sentence.
