Lower league teams never beat teams in leagues above them?

On the odd occasion they do...but again this is one of out worst teams in out nearly 150 year history...and you want to take them bastards on who will finish as one of the top 20 teams in the country.

No thanks

Leeds at home would be good draw. Decent atmosphere as they’d bring a few up.
Mags there’s always that issue they give us pasting, gulf is huge let’s be honest

For what its worth as an NUFC fan i would hate the prospect of playing you lot if we manage to get through.

I think you have eventually turned the corner this year and will be promoted. Us on the otherhand are going nowhere and we could easily get embarassed

Get a top 6 prem team at home and get a decent crowd in, play well and bow out gracefully. Need to fully concentrate on getting out of League 1

Got no interest in playing Newcastle. Not yet. I know it's the cup and anything could happen. But it's a massive gulf in quality, no matter how shit some may think they are.
The young players will stay for years to come after experiencing the atmosphere. It will put hairs on their chest. Nothing to lose as we know they should win.

How long is it since that top tier has opened?

nothing to lose. They win, aye well done, we're in league one, what do you expect? We turn up with 48k on a tuesday night under the lights, they shit themselves (they're hardly full of world beaters) and plenty prem teams struggle to lower league teams as they're petrified of losing out on the prem income and you never know...
What a a load of bollocks they play infront of them crowds every other week , be a awful draw for us !

We've had a good start to the season, and we're doing the right thing by giving the young lads a go and building the fitness of others, but I don't want us playing the mags.

Stuff like that can become a distraction we don't need.
