Why would we get beat?

Get the SOL full and rocking. They are in shite form, we have a very decent young team.

Don't understand why people are shitting themselves at the prospect of Newcastle at home.

You think Bruce wud play an understrength team against us home or away ??? Haway man, he's not that thick.

All their big guns would be playing if fit - St Maximim, Willock, Wilson, Shelvey so we would be in for a pretty torrid time.

We are a League 1 side, a work in progress and they recently finished 12th in the PL and, have ONLY lost two games so far fhs and, they could quite easily have got something out of both.

You're getting carried away big time. I'd prefer to keep our unbeaten record against them thank you.
They probably won't be in the next round...
Dyche never respects this competition.
They will play all their stiffs. Easy win for the mags sadly.

Proper little ray of sunshine you this morning....

We are a Premier League team. We finished 12th last season. We have, by my assessment, 1 point fewer than i would have expected from the opening 2 games.
You are a League 1 team. If i can't be confident of a comfortable victory in these circumstances when could i be?

It would be very unpleasant. That said he would play a full strength team. It would be utter madness to risk anything other than playing the strongest side possible.
Under those circumstances, and allowing for it being a Derby, we should still win comf
It's an interesting prospect but we have to play whoever comes out of the hat. Unfortunately, it's not the same as a plucky underdog in this case, it's a case of a being a team that has been badly mismanaged over a long period playing a team two leagues above. A win against Newcastle would be a great confidence booster but a bad defeat could knock the confidence of young players who live amongst mag supporters.

I just want a home game tbh. Due to weddings and other family things the only games I can make out of the first 7 home games are Wigan and Wycombe, so would be nice to just go to the match, even if it’s crap 😂

Has to be Spurs for me, holding out for us to play them to visit their new ground. Pass it at least once a week and have visited their club shop which is great, down side , it’s full of spurs gear!

The Mags would be fun, if we beat them! Am waiting for next season for this one!

You would lose wouldn’t you?

can't understand anyone wanting to play the mags like. i know the pressure would all be on them, and anything other than a good hammering would be seen as poor by them, but the potential for it to get messy, like 3-0 or 4-0 is too risky

can’t believe that people think we’d actually take the mags. We’ve got a team of kids with no experience in big games or in that type of atmosphere and they’d play their best team.

Joe Willock, ASM & Wilson would rip our defence apart.

The thought of getting the Mags and beating them as a League 1 team is class, but it just wouldn't happen. They'd have far too much for us at the minute.

We're long overdue drawing newcastle in one of the cups,in fact we've played every Premier League team at least once in the two cups since the last time we drew them in the LC in 1979.

Promotion is the priority.
We have some very young players and this will be a very long hard season at a more physical level of football they are accustomed to.
If we do get drawn against a top team at SOL they will field a weakened team and the game will not mean as much as those cup nights of old.
However I fully understand supporters wanting to visit the new Spurs ground or for example Anfield and they will travel in their thousands.
