was that aimed specifically at NUFC or some unrelated German domestic situation ?
The reality is KSA don't care about money and do care about the sport.

One of my English colleagues has an 'interesting' dilemma now.
Saudi are doing a Giga Project, NEOM. Trillions of dollars, and are paying big money. Big even by O&G standards.
They have offered him a position that could, if he wanted, last +10 years. It will mean financial security and earlier than planed retirement.
He is torn and i understand why.
Well given that it is Tax Free i would suggest a conservative estimate would be banking +20k a month. Site / Camp living so no expenses beyond sending money home for bills.depends how much money he's on now compared to what they are offering.
i'd work for them for 10 years if it meant i could retire and didn't have to work here for another 40 years
£20k per month?Well given that it is Tax Free i would suggest a conservative estimate would be banking +20k a month. Site / Camp living so no expenses beyond sending money home for bills.
Probably a 50% uplift on what he earns now. Add in that he has to pay US Income tax on current earnings and it is a huge amount.£20k per month?
i'll do it for that. £240k for a years work? i'd retire after 2 years

They are poaching long serving staff from Exxon and Chevron. When folk are leaving positions like that you know they are paying big.
Will be via an agency as most of us Expats are now in Houston. Ultimately it is, I assume, KSA. Don't imagine that being any form of private equity. Now 2034 WC is settled they will be desperate to have it executed quickly.who are they going to work for though, a private company or the saudi state?
its self preservation. of course, none of them have a backbone. but if any of them did shine a light on the saudis and the despicable nature of what is going on in newcastle, then they'd probably find themselves struggling for work.
it would take a brave soul to stand up and shout and about them, when you know you'll be cut off as a result
I wonder if there will, further down the line, be supporters of NUFC who get banned from attending SJP for being vocal against SA?
Granted, very few seem to be able to separate love of Newcastle and love of all things Saud, but it really shouldn't be that hard.
Yes their suppression of any dissenters through imprisonment or death along with the horrendous treatment of gays and women are an inconvenience onlySadly the UK government views the mags owners as highly valued trading partners
Well done to them for speaking out ... most fans of "top clubs" in England are smug and arrogant about being in Europe and couldn't care less about the rest of the clubs in the land and the state of the game in general. They had banners against AC Milan also. It's in relation to the reform of UEFA Competitions - Reclaim the Game - Football for millions of Fans, not billions of Euros.
