Dortmund banner last night

I don't hate them.

When you use sentences like this you largely self identify as a Mag. I was just following your lead, but I accept this could be a mistake?
This is going much better than we hoped it would

I like most Sunderland fans hoped this would go badly. I was quite happy with the Howe appointment . I thought he would be no better than Bruce. I also hoped it would turn into a orgy of overspending on ill suited star players like PSG but Tonali aside they seem to have avoided that.

The problem is Queen Mandy spouts her "people are confusing the Saudi state and our ownership" crap that the media don't challenge
Correct my friend. She should be pulled up by the media but particularly in our area the number of Newcastle supporters in senior journalistic positions across the full spectrum-radio, TV, online, written press mean that very little has been said. It’s farcical having such a despotic regime running a football club yet everyone asking us all to show respect to all in society. Senior Newcastle councillors and politicians are equally to blame. Even Newcastle Pride won’t criticise their club. The whole lot just want NUFC winning stuff and challenging at the top
at any expense. Corruption and hypocrisy all ower!

Appropriate for:

Skunks.
The (wannabe) European Super League clubs.
UEFA.
Players in general.
Agents.
Eddie Howe.
The fawning TV Presenters.

And plenty more.
All of who will have had some representation there last night. And ALL of whom won't have given a Shiny Shite.

It's bad enough that the media in the region and nationally lack any backbone whatsoever in voicing a challenge to the Saudi Sportswashing exercise, but that we also have to endure this place being infested with Saudi worshipping vermin too.

Boris Johnson, the Reuben Brothers, Queen Manda, the KSA rulers and last but not least the Mags Fans themselves, lower than pond life.

All football club owners are responsible both for their club's sporting performance and for its financial performance .
Some owners e.g Glazers, Mike Ashley , prioritise financial returns
A new type of owner e.g. Qatar KSA UAE ,care only about the club's sporting performance.

No club owners are responsible for the whole of football : that's for FIFA
So why did you say the Saudis care about the sport and not they care about how their team performs? Two totally different things

You are now trying to twist 'it's going better than what we had hoped for'. You have been outed
think it through mate , think it through ....English is tricky sometimes

Even with them slipping into 4th in their UCL group there's literally no-one on this board who would say "it's going worse ( for NUFC ) than we had hoped ".

All SAFC fans , even you , would agree with me that this is going better for NUFC than we had hoped.

depends What you mean by better?
better for the sport. Better for NUFC in the long run?
youre club is disgusting. Your fans only care about money. ‘Richest club in the world‘
no matter how you do, most fans wouldnt want to be you. You’re the antithesis of what a traditional community football cluv should be.
sold your soul. So nar, even if you win the league it’s not better than you’d hope, I wouldnt think. I’d hope not,
there’s no jealousy of any success, only pity of what you’ve become.
saudi fc.

Its only bitter mackems that think their owners are bad though.

Except Crystal Palace fans and Dortmund fans, and that’s only in the last 2 weeks.

Aye, it's going much better than nufc fans hoped for n'all, and given your quote' Saudis are doing it for their love of football',I take it your 'we' Is your fellow nufc fans.

Mike Ashley famously didn't care about the sport . KSA have bought Newcastle to make them good at the sport of football , not to make money. Literally all they care about is the sport.
they are spending money now to improve their image using sport. in a decade or two that cleaner image will get them investment back in spades. the mags adore them. see how it works?
its entirely about money. you think they give 2 shits about newcastle and the people there?
Sorry but the strategy behind buying Newcastle is the polar opposite of this. They (PIF absolutely not MBS) bought Newcastle for the same reason they bought Golf and buy boxing..... to increase their non-Oil gross domestic product. To make the country globally appealing. The same reason they pay Neymar a kings ransom every time he tweets about how great KSA is.
correct. they'll get the money back next decade.

One of my English colleagues has an 'interesting' dilemma now.
Saudi are doing a Giga Project, NEOM. Trillions of dollars, and are paying big money. Big even by O&G standards.
They have offered him a position that could, if he wanted, last +10 years. It will mean financial security and earlier than planed retirement.
He is torn and i understand why.

its self preservation. of course, none of them have a backbone. but if any of them did shine a light on the saudis and the despicable nature of what is going on in newcastle, then they'd probably find themselves struggling for work.

it would take a brave soul to stand up and shout and about them, when you know you'll be cut off as a result
