Dortmund banner last night

Hmm, I don't think so. It's what sports can do for their image.
but the boost to their image is by fielding an excellent football team . Of course they have ulterior motives but compare Man City to Man United. Money is plentiful at both clubs really but United's senior management are prioritising smooth outflow of cash to the owners while delaying any non essential expenditure and keeping one eye on an eventual sale . At City and now at Newcastle there are no financial dramas or ownership intrigues , everyone can just concentrate on building a better squad , fielding a better side. This is going much better than we hoped it would.

The fact that the Mags are paranoid that it could possibly have been about them shows that they know they're complete scumbags

Exactly. When the Dortmund did it against AC Milan not a single Milan fan thought it necessary to jump up and down trying to make everyone think it wasn't about Thier club. But the mags know deep down that they are now the antithesis of German and fan-focused football clubs. They have lost their club, it doesn't exist anymore, that sign could easily apply to them and they know it. Hence the mass jumping to deflection..

'iT waS aiMeD aT UefA'

For most clubs, that wouldn't have been needed saying .

It's aimed at UEFA/FIFA but can apply to the mags. They don't care who owns their club, who lives or dies, as long as there's big money being spent on players.
A person should be rated on their actions.
I have plenty of friends who are mags. Not one of them has walked following the Saudi take-over.
If Sunderland had stooped so low to sell out to a murderous and corrupt state I'd never have set foot back in our stadium again.

I didn't watch the Qatar World Cup and I won't be watching the Saudi World Cup either.

If only everybody really cared....

Yep, 100% with you.. I'd still have been a sunderland fan till the day I died, but I've have jacked in going to games. I have an Israeli passport, not even sure if they'd let me in

Not everyone is concentrating on building a better squad.. take the owners for example, they are concentrating on murdering children in Yemen, chopping up journalists and throwing people off buildings for being gay.

Its all about UEFA and FIFA being corrupt money/power driven scum.

Uefa are changing the format for the 24/25 Champions League to include more money driven matches.

The scum have now joined the small group of lets go and buy a trophy....the games just not the same, the real fans know they have lost their club.
