we don't get to the dizzy heights of Chelsea performance wise against Everton. After all this is the Sunderland AFC roller-coaster we watch every season.

OR

Is this the true turning point of our beloved club?

To be fair, if we had some luck we'd have beaten Man Utd by a similar scoreline.

Just a bit more consistency and we'll be flying.

The Everton game will be very hard and they will try to frustrate, close us down early and will be physical. It won't be easy and I think it will be a draw but it wouldn't surprise me if we lost this one.

I know it was just one result one performance (f***ing fantastic btw) but i must admit im a little giddy about what we can achieve this season, the bar has been raised theres no doubt. Haway Lads no more false dawns eh !!!

You think it will be easy?

No not at all but we're class at home. I cannot see any reason why we shouldn't be favourites, particularly after the Chelsea result-confidence will be high, and so will the spirit of the faithful. A difficult but eventually comfortable 2-0 I reckon.

over the season we will lose a game at home, if not 2 so not unreasonable of me to suggest a draw for this one but also that they might sneak a win in a scrappy game. the spirit of the faithful can change after 20mins if Everton are frustrating the team and the crowd.

I'm surprised at this like, is it a statement or a question? at first I took heed and was not surprised but then a question was posed. I am surprised like, sorry.

Anyone who would be surprised at Sunderland following up an excellent performance with a terrible one couldn't have been watching very long!

Wouldn't it be nice for once if the lads could carry this form on. But like you i fear we wont, would love to stuff Everton though and set the record straight. And we could bring out a DVD of the game for good measure.;);)

Never a truer word ect ect.... Its been the Sunderland way for decades , lets hope that doesnt happen on Monday.

It does worry me slightly, perfect chance to get 2 wins on the bounce (which never happens to us). Dont think we will lose as we are at home but a draw wouldnt be suprising.

I wish I was as optimistic. I've just seen us go from stellar performances like the one at Chelsea to lacklustre, uninspired shite. I deeply, deeply want to be wrong on this.

Ha'way lads -- rip Everton another shitter.
