20-30 years ago. I remember one bit of path we used to nickname 'dog shit lane'. High fences either side, trees over the path so no wind to clear smell and always a load of dog shit over the path. Rarely anything there now, so it is far better.Funny how times change mind, no-one picked up their dog shit when I was a kid, and im only 42 (only!)
When did this change?
Does no one say owt to them?I don’t know how people have the audacity to just walk away from it in full view of others. Same on my estate, same person all the time, every day.
Aye, someone had a full on argument with him. Denied it of course. So we reported him to the council. They shoved a letter through his door. Has t done it since but probs moved to somewhere else.Does no one say owt to them?
I've always thought there should be a 3 strikes policy for it like.should enforce £1000 on the spot fines, caught twice loose your dog and barred from keeping animals.

£100 Fine, £500 Fine then a ban from owning dogs.
It's just lazy & selfish behaviour.
I have been known to walk up to people being really cheerful, "Oh did you forget your poo bags, I've done that before, awful isn't it, don't worry here" and hand them one. It really throws people. If you start an argument them people are defensive and argue back. But someone being nice and helpful leaves them thinking they can't give an aggressive answer back so they just pick it up. Probably then throw it in the bushes when I'm gone, but it is funny to watch the dilemma on their faces.Does no one say owt to them?
mad that an all isn’t it. I've never understood that. We live beside the rugby pitches near St. Michael's Church in Houghton, you can see where people have picked up the poop in a bag, thrown it into the trees or over the railings by the road. They then leave the field via the 2 exits where there are large binsI’m

we've found common ground over dog shite ehOn this, we agree. Although I'd reduce it to £100 if they either had a bag or took a bag from a Warden and cleaned it up.
A bit of carrot with the stick might help them change their ways.

It’s a direct effect of the number of folk buying dogs in lockdown. Some of them will be responsible, but there are a lot who aren’t.
