Do We Sack Him?

Why on earth would you think this? Our recent history suggests exactly the opposite.

If moyes had shown anything I'd be torn but it's been terrible since day 1.

You mean if he'd kept his stupid arrogant gob shut? It's not the first time he's mouthed off and ended up looking like a prat. He should shut up about something that, inexplicably after 6 years owning a business in the field, he doesn't understand.
We have never been even this bad as this stage the teams worse with a terrible injury list

Hate the endless cycle of sacking managers but I really couldn't are now. Moyes isn't the sole reason we are where we are, but his signings, his negative rhetoric, (said we were in a relegation battle after the 2nd game etc) and game management are exacerbating the situation.

As I said in the other thread about this, there's no point sacking him, if Short wont back the manager HE wants there's no point appointing anyone else. Get the point ?

I doubt it's worth much in the current climate but I do.

Moyes is here because he has a track record of achieving relative "success" on a shoestring. I can see the attraction for Short. :)

People keep saying "You can't keep sacking managers" why not? We've done it the past few seasons and guess what, we've stayed in the division.

He's poor tactically, he's not a strong personality, bad motivator and the results are getting worse and worse.

Lets roll the dice I say. Can't really get much worse can it.

What's with this 'always sacking manager' mantra? The last two left amicably and previous managers were disastrous appointments who rightly got the boot.

Sam would have had years to turn us round because everyone could see there was a buzz. He was taking us forward.
I can understand posters who though Moyes might be a decent appointment due to his Everton tenure, although I always thought he'd be a bad choice. What I can't understand is posters still insisting we hang on to him. Even worse are those indulging in name calling. It's clearly not working as things are, it's bleedin' obvious we need to bring Sam back.

If we went down with Sam, then do be it, he's shown he can sort us out. There would be optimism because of his abilities. Moyes is useless, the whole situation is poisonous, and he will never take us anywhere but down.
Going down with record low points and abject humiliation as the Mags pass us on the way up is what awaits us under Moyes. Maybe, just maybe, there's time for BSA to turn us around.

If Sam isn't willing or able, then let the tea lady manage the team. She honestly couldn't do much worse and the dressing room atmosphere would no doubt improve.

I am all for stability, keeping the same manager might take us towards that. However, there has to be a reason to think he might do that. I was taken aback by Moyse first signings, Manchester United didn't rate them and Chelsea obviously didn't rate Djillybodgie, they made a handsome profit on him though. Tactically Moyse just doesn't fill me with any confidence at all and going on the defensive for long periods simply encourages the opposition to put us under pressure. No, I see no way forward with things as they are . The team has gone from one showing the potential to move on up to one of abject failure, 25 points from 27 down the drain. Moyse will not turn things around now.

Moyes has been a complete disaster. At the time when he was appointed I honestly thought he might make us a steady team, hard to beat, win 1 lose 2 type of team but I'm honestly at a loss to see any positives since the bloke took charge.

Since day one he was talking the club down, relegation dogfight, club needs to change mentality, team not good enough etc. He has took the team backwards and we look like a shadow of the team that finished last season. He has eroded every ounce of confidence the players had, all the feel good factor from the end of last season has gone, the team is worse, he has spent 30m on players who won't get near the first team when everyone is fit, and I honestly think under Moyes we are relegated already.

With every passing game it's just another game less for the new manager to turn it around. I've seen some on here say maybe relegation will do us good but after what I've seen so far from Moyes, there's not a chance he would get us promoted, not a chance. The guy is just not a good fit for this football club.

Ellis short needs to get on his hands and knees and do whatever it takes to get allardyce back or we are down. It really is that simple.
