Before this round of championship matches I wanted Notts to go up and Hampshire to go down.
The 2nd division next season with both Notts and Middx in it looked a bit ominous for Durham chances of promotion. But Notts going up is a good thing long term although it was good to see them sweat. I reckon Middx will be as warm favourites to win the division in 2018 as Notts where in 2017.

I don't mind Middlesex, I have a season ticket there, but they have a sense of entitlement about them, and this the latest move, they are down, they need to move past it
