Notts looking good now to get the 12 points they need. they have received 7 bonus points. should see a draw in that game which will be enough for them
Nah need a draw both them and Northants can end on 217 points.

Northants having more wins would see them promoted. But it's safe for Notts now.

Not sure you can be done for producing a wicket with excessive spin or seam its the uneven bounce that they judge the wicket on.

Do people really want Notts to stay down, not sure that would help Durham in anyway next season.
Its quite funny to see them struggle but Iam more bothered about Durham.

Yes you can. It was something introduced this season.

Not hugely bothered about the promotion or relegation for that matter. I suppose Northants going up would be pretty good, one of the minnows.

Cheers I knew it was always uneven bounce that they obsessed on or should I say the batsmen did.
Nice for Northants but I just feel that with two good sides coming down and Notts it makes it very difficult to see Durham finishing in the top 2.

who is down from the first division?

please let it be hampshire

So it looks like it's all going to boil down to Edgbaston.

And there we go, Middlesex are down unless Hampshire lose.

Until the ECB step in, obviously.

There may be another twist in the Somerset survival story.

The match's cricket liaison officer, Wayne Noon, will make a judgement on the state of the pitch after Middlesex raised the issue after the first day.

Somerset can only be docked points if he decides the pitch is 'poor' but the general consensus is that this is unlikely. (However if Hampshire go down that's another story)
