Tbf, the title suggests it's not gonna be all sweetness and light.

The animals weren't really hurt in it were they?
  2. The Sinful Dwarf

    The Sinful Dwarf Midfield

They were pretty much deaded, aye.
  3. A film called “Snowtown”
Based on the real life Australian murders.

Disturbing film, one that left me thinking about it for ages afterwards.

Room was canny, pretty distubing theme. (Any film involving harm to kids is pretty distubing imo)

Good film. Heart in mouth a few times.

    Two Scoops Full Back

Took me ages to get over the scene in Honey I shrunk the Kids when Anty died.

    Some good calls here.

    The haunting (original one)
Last house on the left, is agood modern day one.

I'll throw in the original, I Spit on Your Grave and Vacancy.

From what i can remember when i was young they turned a giant turtle upside down on its shell and cut off its feet and flippers with a knife. The poor turtle was flipping and twitching like mad.
Then a small frightened animal, not sure what it was but about the size of a large cat or small fox was tetheret to a stake and a giant snake (maybe a python) came along for its treat.
The animal knew what was coming and was absolutely terrified. Totally fucking unnessary. The bastards.
There was other stuff that ive luckily forgotten about.

2 of my favourite films. Do you have a favourite scene from either? Fire extinguisher/fisting gay bar scene for me.

That the one where all actors/actresses are porn stars or prostitutes?

Dogtooth is canny for foreign film lovers.

I was going to say The Road ( books worse like) or Ex Machina but they've been well and truly trumped by some of the shit mentioned on here. I googled that Human Centipede thing that's been mentioned. Couldn't get to sleep last. Ugly thinking about it. And the cruelty of to the animals, though I haven't and won't see it, is already winding me up. Wish I hadn't read this thread.

Blood Meridian by cormac mccarthy is a superb read if you liked the road.

I did like The Road, sort of but it was grimmer than hell, as you know. I might swerve if it's in a similar vein. Finding myself increasingly sensitive to unpleasantness as I age but thanks for the recommendation.
