Yeah, I know, shit etc & not my scene...

Anyhow, the missus wants to take the kids next year in August

What's the best way to book something like this for say...3 days in the park and maybe 7 nights accommodation to do other stuff? Package deal, book everything separate?

Quite often get some deals that include food if you book direct through Disney

Probably the worst holiday I've ever had and my kids were aged 3 and 5 at the time so it should have been magical. We even went back for Christmas and it was just as bad. The inability to queue seems to extend to at least 80% of the people who inhabit the place. Add to that the extortionate prices and the fucking awful food and it's the perfect recipe for a shit time. I dread to think how much money we wasted going there

Seriously mate, save your money and go elsewhere. Every theme park in Britain I've been to is better.

Exactly what I feared. It's more for the youngest as she loves the Disney stuff, but if she comes away with a negative experience, then IMO what's the point? Thanks for the candid reply!

Wouldn't bother with Paris. Deals on for Orlando which is 100 million times better than the crap they build in Europe .

  7. Brother just came back. €3.90 for a bottle of water. Queues a mile long for the rides. Said the Disney character breakfast was worth the money though just to see the kids’ faces.

Had a nightmare with Air France just randomly cancelling their flight for no reason so beware with that.

  8. My missus keeps harping on. Managed to avoid it so far. That one or the states ones. Can't imagine many worse holidays than spending 80% of it in a queue in baking sunshine to go on a fucking rollercoaster

Would love to. How does it compare price wise & will an attention-seeking noisy 3yo last the flight (or more importantly will everyone else? :))

Honestly I think 3 is a bit young. They'll never remember it even tho the intention is to give them a great holiday . Wait until a bit older and able to remember it

We went there years ago when the Indiana Jones films started and we had a great time ( 12 adults in a large camper van holiday in France ) think the hotels are ok ,food , drink and tat was expensive , queuing typically Disney but you get used to it, hope you go and have a great break !

    I'd book separate.

In July 2015 I drove thru Dover/Calais. Stayed at the Paxton Resort and Spa which is an Aparthotel less than 10 minutes along the A4 from Disney.
Purchased an annual pass for 4 of us which came to just over £600, got us into the park for 6 and a half days and like being in the hotel’s you get into the park an hour and a half before the cavalry arrive. Get discounts off at the restaurants and includes free parking.

Fair enough but ask them in 5 years. Places like that are meant to remain memories forever .

If you're only gonna have 3 days in the two parks, get the fast pass queue jumper. If you stay on site you will get extra time before they open to the general public. Sister in law went recently and says some of the queues were bad and that it wasn't until their 3rd day they got a fastpass and breezed through queues as they give an allotted time for fast pass users.
Flight took them about 90 minutes from NCL. Less than 3 hours after take off they were in their digs.
They had a fantastic time and says the kids loved it. Young kids aren't gonna be looking at disneyland Paris and thinking i bet Florida is better than this

    Irrelevant really.
I took mine at 6 and 4 in 2015 and they’re going back at Xmas with their 4 year old sister.
If they’re old enough to enjoy it at the time, that’s what matters and they were.

Disney World is a different thing tho, as they’ll get their probably twice at best whilst young so I’m holding back until they’re all around double figures.

When I was there you picked the Fast Pass’ up from a ticket machine outside of the ride.

My daughter and wife got food poisoning. Luckily that means my daughter never ever wants to go back there.

    Efteling however, she bloody loves.

We had that - ATCs were on strike so all the airlines were told to slash 60% of their flights. We ended up flying back to Glasgow and having to make our own way back to Edinburgh for the car.

Other than that I loved it, the kids loved it, the wife loved it, and we plan to go back either next year or the year after. Apart from 2 and a half hours to meet a bloody princess, the only big queues were Crush’s coaster (which we skipped because my wife and I going on would have meant we needed to queue twice - but would have got the shorter “single rider” line - as both kids were too small for it) and Rattatouile (which we got a Fastpass for), didn’t have to queue more than half an hour for anything else
