Disney +

Ah, its finally happening. They've been talking about this for a year.

As OP says, there more "exclusive to our streaming service" content that exists, the more people will move away from them, and back to pirating things.

You can already get Disney Life in the UK which has been a bit of a trial for them.

Think I pay £5 a month and the nipper gets access to loads of Disney and Pixar films and TV stuff.

It’s been canny to be honest.

There is a streaming service already, it's called Disney Life.
That explains my earlier comment then.
They bought a smaller streaming company about a year ago iirc, to re-purpose as a vehicle for Disney stuff. The idea they were floating was that they would pull all Disney owned content off other platforms, which would be a pain for many.

We have Disney life. Don’t think there’s any marvel live action stuff on there yet or Star Wars. Probably still licensed to Netflix. Expect to see it all move there shortly. For £5 a month it’s ok but obviously there’s no way near as much content or as much variety as Netflix.

Punishter has been cancelled and will be redone on this Disney thing also apparently...

they can all fuck off, will happily go back to downloading shit for nout

All these streaming subscriptions to watch a few things is getting ridiculous. It's chaotic, there'll need to be an app with them all in one place so you can see what's on. It'll drive people back to piracy.
