Disney world Florida

Was looking today, licence to print money, prices have doubled/ trebled since we were last there, summer before covid.
Did find flights for £328 though, late August 2023

Tickets cost more than the flights and accommodation, especially if you stay off site.
Here right now and its heaving with people.

Genie+ which is $15 a day per person to get you around 3 fast passes (which used to be free) has for the last 2 days sold out for all.the big rides within 30 minutes of the parks opening. So no one can get any passes for anything comes 9.30 for what is meant to be an all day perk -add in that you can only book 1 ride at a time unless you stack (and that would only get you 2 passes for the day currently)

They've stopped the concierge service where anything you buy in the parks gets sent to your hotel room.

Saw hundreds of people walking round with the huge lightsabres that cost $300 each, a family of 4 had 1 each

Early entry is now 30 minutes having previously been 1 hour and the extra 2 hours after park closes are only for the deluxe resorts.

Disney footfall will start to shrink, especially from UK visitors if the Pound never recovers against the dollar.

It was the Star Wars robots that shocked me. Whole families purchasing 5-6 of them at $200-400 a pop.

Well, 2 days room bound now...

my wife knows someone who was there the last time one came close, said they had to go into basement rooms and when they were allowed out they had cleaned it all up so fast that you wouldn't never have known.

With the meal plan, you shouldn't need to buy any food or (soft) drinks, but you need to learn how to manage it. You get drinks with each meal, but you also get free fill ups, so we used to put the meal drinks to one side for later. If you get a snack with the meal, try to get something that is sealed so you can keep it for later.

Also, if you are going out of disney for the day, use your meal plan to get a sandwich and drink to take with you (some parks may search you on the way in mind - we used to put all the bait on the bottom of the buggy (or stroller as they say over there!)) which they didn't check iirc.

If you've got any snacks left at the end of the holiday, you can use them to buy chocolate/sweets from the disney shops to take home.
You’re allowed to take food in mate no need to hide it :D

Went earlier this year, food is awful and overpriced, cans of lager are 11 dollars plus tip and tax
Get the bucket of popcorn and refill every day and use refillable water bottles and you'll save a fortune.

😂 aye same here mate, hoping to squeeze a few in around Epcot. But won’t be an all dayer.

Next year for you as well?
I’m pestering the wife asking can I still go to the pub and that for beers during day with kids 😂

Aye. Just booked it today. First week in may. Didn’t realise could choose child not born yet on options or else would’ve booked ages ago.
Was ten years ago may gone.
Bloody flies.
