Doing a 3 week tour of the USA next summer, avoiding Florida which is a good thing by the sounds of it.

Judging all of Florida by Disney experiences is like judging 350 million Americans by the fatties you see at the theme parks.
I love it here me. You might not like beaches but I do and we have the best in country (according to TripAdvisor and me!) 30 minutes from my gaff.

I hate beaches

I do like big cities and beer though so I’m sure I’ll have a good time in the 9 places I’m visiting.

I remember the days back in 2008-2015 when the prices were class everything in Orlando was half price due to the exchange rate

We used to take a half empty case with us and buy all sorts at the outlets to bring back

Eating out was class as well

Aye was always worth leaving room in ya case to get loads of stuff from ralph and that. In the past av getting t shirts for the bairn for a few quid.

Went this summer and its not any cheaper atm, this bastard rate man its shocking

These are my memories too. Getting trainers that were £90 here (£140 now) for $40 in outlets. Food & drink was a snip too. Hotels, events, car hire.

Wtf has gone on over there once the covid freedom honeymoon period wears off, the furlough savings runs out & the cost of living kicks in so many of these places charging through the nose will be in for a big shock.

I'm off early next year, it'll be the first and last time as its costing an arm and a leg.....

Disneys went to shit now. Everything’s an extra and a lot of family’s seem to have been priced out.

We went in May this year and only did Universal and SeaWorld and had a good time. We did however notice how much the price of meals had gone up and like previously mentioned on here the outlets ain’t cheap anymore. I’d still gan back like

Back in the 90’s you could buy branded goods at the Florida Mall cheaper than the rubbish gear manufactured to sell at the Outlet Malls.

Premium outlets are good now. All high end brands at Vineland outlets

I did exactly the same in the bar next to Ice breaker . $30 for 2 beers nowt priced up on the board either. Nearly shit myself. Cheeky fucker wanted a tip as well

We did 2 weeks in July at cabana bay. One night at universal hard rock that was worth it for the 2 days fast passes.
Kids are a bit older so didn't bother with Disney.....other than universal/volcano bay we did seaworld, discovery cove and busch gardens. As others have said hideously expensive.....parks are superb mind.
Didn't think the food and service was that great in my experience.....couple of decent meals and a couple of duds.....think they're struggling for staff like over here post Covid.

Bar a lottery win doubtful I'll be heading back soon.

Personally, I've done Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Washington DC and New York. Enjoyed all of them in different ways.

I'm doing Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, Chicago, DC, Boston and New York then finishing off in Toronto (I know thats in Canada). Really can't wait and its not till next July.

Off to Disney world with the kids and wife on the 14 th staying at coranado springs resort in Disney, anyone got any helpful tips and and advice etc

Excellent choice of hotel. A conference centre based in the recently built tower. We’ve stayed there about ten times, over the last 25 years, our favourite area is the Casita’s and handy for the bus stop 2 and for breakfasts.Any of the other parts of hotel are enjoyable to stay in. Recently refurbished rooms. The main thing for me was it had a bar which is not common in Disney Hotels. Rix Sports bar in the older part and newer bars and restaurants in the tower. Good food in breakfast area. Mexican themed.Built around a large lake, well worth a walk around. We were there in May and booked again for 2023. Our favourite hotel. Handy for all parks. Recommend Disney Springs, The Boathouse is class. Also Raglan Rd, Irish bar, live music and dancing every day. Food is good at both. We met with other SAFC fans to try and arrange watching matches in the past. Enjoy.

Spot on. Even when the parks close and its a rush out the que’s fly down tbh

One night we left holywood studios and were back at the hotel in less than 10 minutes and you have to change aswell
