Did Mowbray self Sabotage to make a point?

TM knows that he needed some fundamentals to bring success to the club, but the owners model seems to be so radically different that some of these absolute basics have been forgotten. I think it's a bit too much of a sink or swim environment for the players and it's not TM's way.

No he didn’t.

We won on Saturday purely from a fresh pair of eye’s knowing that we can’t fuck about from every goal kick and that if you cross it a bit you’ll get chances.

He was welded to his ways. It worked a lot. Then it didn’t. And he persisted

I was under the impression, and probably wrongly, that speakman was making mowbray play one of the 4 strikers the club had invested in. As soon as we stopped playing dack and or jobe up front to accommodate a striker the shape and conversion rate for goals disappeared and the bad run began.
Then there were other odd selections like Defenders in midfield. So I was pleasantly surprised to see the team and shape yesterday with jobe up front. Suprise suprise we played well and looked better.

So why did tony keep rotating strikers if he didn't have to - was he prepared to sacrifice points and his job to make a point that the strikers weren't good enough?
Of course not . He thought too much of his young players to f.ck around like that . For his faults he is an honourable man with a common decency .,despite what some posters keep alluding to .
He's gone now and the club will carryon as it always does ,will be very interesting whom we end up with as head coach .
Exactly and that’s allowed unfortunately. I’m no Speakman apologist but he’s given a tough time on here (which is easy to do) without a lot of substance to the ins and outs of what goes on.
Surely the same could be said about Mowbray ,given some of the post about him on here .
None of us know what goes on with the day to day running of the squad . None of us know who had the final say on player selection or the amount of freedom that was allowed the head coach .
None of us know what went on during the transfer window ,how close we may have come to signing an experienced defensive midfielder or experienced striker . Two things that Mowbray apparently wanted . Say what you like about the present administration but one thing they do not do is leak information . So everything posted on here is speculation or the posters interpretation of events .
Roll on the appointment of the new head coach and the rest of the season. I doubt it will be dull !
