Dickie Davies RIP

The bloke who convinced me for many of my young years that wrestling was real.
Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy etc
You know these icons of the 70s who represent great memories and elicit such poignant feelings that most of us of that generation can relate to... I wonder if the generations that followed can feel the same way about things with their easy access to so much varied media . Saturday afternoons were Dickie Davies or Frank Bough that was it ... like it or lump and half the time it was boring as hell but it was ingrained in your minds as part of your existence as there was nothing else.

Was more a Grandstand type but always flicked between the two for the final scores or cup final days. Happy memories. Rip Dickie.
