Of is not a verb
Fans did players didn't it was obvious
Or the players were still too pissed from the scum celebrations
That's not a bad comparison actually .Talking about himself in the 3rd person still and comparing himself to managers who've achieved far more than he ever will. Tim Sherwood gets battered for just this.

Di Canio was an instant hit on Wearside, replacing Martin O’Neill as manager and overseeing a safety bid in the final seven games of the 2012-13 campaign by claiming eight points - including the famous 3-0 victory over rivals Newcastle at St James’ Park which saw Di Canio highly animated after all three goals.
But things quickly turned sour for the Italian, with his strict ways behind the scenes causing a player revolt. He was sacked after just five games of the new campaign with the Black Cats picking up just one point.
Of his many changes behind the scenes which is said to have upset Sunderland players, banning ketchup and mayonnaise from the training base was seen at the time as one of the more wackier ones.
But Di Canio believes he was right to do so, and says successful managers such as Antonio Conte are proof of this.
He told the Telegraph: “Conte at the top level is an example at Chelsea. He didn’t start very well. He is similar to me. He’s a hammer every day, works so hard.
“Everybody was laughing when I brought a diet regime to Sunderland, ‘Ah, Paolo Di Canio – [banned] ketchup! Mayonnaise! Then when it happens with Pep Guardiola, with Conte it’s, ‘Oh, very good, they are very severe people. They bring the culture of diet. They must be very professional.’
“What is the difference? Guardiola and Conte they won at the top level. So why couldn’t Paolo Di Canio change those things?”
And complaining about player power, he continued: “Someone told me that you can’t do this in the Premier League – being too strict. You must be more flexible because in the Premier League they [the players] are selfish people, they have power. Of course but the power comes from above. If the club is strong, players have less power.
“Conte was capable [of implementing his methods] thanks to his club. They didn’t fall into the trap to pull Conte after a few games.
“They said, ‘Wait, we believe in this job. Come on lads, Conte is here. Conte belongs to this project and we believe in him’. He went to three at the back, he made a few changes but the discipline, the strictness was there.
“At the end of the season, I asked him, as a manager, what did you change, what was the secret? He said to me, ‘Paolo, I changed a bit on the field obviously because we had problems at the back so we were tougher. But the most important thing was that I didn’t change my ideas – strict, tough.
“I was sure of these ideas and I knew we could fly. Otherwise I become more weak because they saw me as I was and then suddenly it’s all, ‘Sorry lads’.’
“That proves in the Premier League, the real footballers need and want discipline, there is a meritocracy, it is the same for everybody.”
Di Canio was speaking in London where he is representing Italy in the Star Sixes tournament.

That's not a bad comparison actually .
Like the other managers, the rotten core got him out the door!
And that has exactly what to do with their managerial ability?PDC was a mile better player
Other rotten core will too
At some point they too weren't successful. He's an idiot. Comparing himself to Conte and Guardiola
Difference might be that they had previously been successful and he's a f***ing raving lunatic.
He should have just banned a few players from match days.He was right to ban ketchup and mayo.
Which one of them has gone 4 years without a job? Been turned down by Bolton, Rotherham etc?At some point they too weren't successful.
Maybe Conte knows how to put things over a little better.
Mourinho is a nutcase, hence his constant moving, i think you'd see someone entirely different if he changed that strategy.
He should have just banned a few players from match days.
And that has exactly what to do with their managerial ability?
Also Di Canio didn't win a premier league or get any international caps so wouldn't say he was miles better anyway. Totally different players.
Read my post again.Which one of them has gone 4 years without a job? Been turned down by Bolton, Rotherham etc?
There's a reason why Di Canio can't get a job anywhere and I don't think it's because owners are scared of a player revolt over ketchup.
IMO anyone who thinks he is a good manager is thick as fuck.
A very well written and well thought out post.Di Canio was doing the right things, just in the wrong way. What he was trying to do isn't dissimilar to what Grayson is trying to do now.
The biggest problem that Di Canio had was that there was a rotten vain of players at the club. Its undeniable. After the club sacked Keane because he was too scary, they brought in Bruce who let the players get away with anything. After that didn't work they brought in O'Neill who didn't have a clue what was going on because he was never there. There was a bad culture at the club. Even players from other clubs knew, and it attracted the sort of players. It wasn't the ketchup, but the players were probably to embarrassed to state what it was that Di Canio was doing that was pissing them off, because even people within football would have gone "well yeah, that's completely justified". Can anyone name one other story of what Di Canio did that pissed of the players? No, because anything else they would have leaked would have painted them in a bad light. So the ketchup became the story. It's not like he keeps talking about it, every interview he has the reporter will ask about the ketchup, because that was the story. So yeah, the root and branch operation was necessary, he just didn't necessarily do it in the right way for that group of players.
If that wasn't bad enough, the club for some reason decided they were going to become Udinese that summer, so filled the squad with players with whom the main MO was to turn a profit on. What we really needed was 3 or 4 established players to pull us back to where we were a couple of season before. It really wouldn't have been that hard to do, but we completely fluffed it. I'm pretty sure is Short could press the reset button and go back to one point during his time here, it would be that summer. Absolutely no one associated with the club at that time came out smelling of roses. Truly shocking recruitment all round.
For A five year old! Its all bollocks..........PDC is a delusional Mad fekka and a a useless manager to boot......I would not believe a word he says!A very well written and well thought out post.
What has that got to do with their managerial abilities?PDC as a footballer won more than what the whinger has
