Yeah, January is a decent benchmark to see where things are heading. Signs of progress and I'll be happy.

Totally agree. If not PDC probably gone really think he is the most expendable part of the set up. Hope he proves himself because I love the lil nutter.

To an extent but not many clubs bring as many players in during 1 transfer window as QPR did last summer and we did this summer.

oh I don't disagree mate when PDC was appointed my view was it would either be an unmitigated disaster or huge success, so far we seem to be on the road to the former, plenty of chances for us to get back on the right path......can we take them??

The mags I know are obsessed with telling me about this. Am I supposed to be embarrassed about a training session or what?

PDC is quite rightly embarrassed that he can't pick, coach and motivate a team of seasoned pros against kids. No wonder he told them not to tell anyone. No wonder they did tell.

It makes me sick people are earning a living from writing such shit, I could draft something like that for every top tier club once a day, there's no accountability since a source said this a source said that...

This sums up the agenda the press have for di canio atm.
They have decided to run a non story where the true aim of the game would be giving good competition to the youths and keeping the lads left here fit between league games.

id be more worried if i were a boro fan considering they only had a half day of training today in order to give the non international first teamers more of a chance to recover from a 4 day bender in portugal together

total non story and I couldn't give a flying fuck if there was a game or not!!!!

if people on here are getting their knickers in a twist over this then its game over!

What was he trying to get out of the game? Did he play a formation they're all used to? Did he ask them to go out and experiment? How did the match look, were they over run by the kids? Did they hold onto the ball, pass it around nicely, create plenty of chances but not put them away and get hit by the only three attacks the kids had?

FFS nobody on here has any idea what happened in the game, what it was put together for or what they wanted to get out of it. Stop being fannies.

Haven't read all the thread but seen enough.
I spoke with Kevin Ball yesterday and he told me what's being reported isn't accurate and the press are just putting there usual spin on it.

Why let the truth get in the way of a good story though!!

Not really. He called me from the team bus coming back from Leeds about some mutual fundraising for Bradley's Fight.
We got chatting and he basically said don't believe the stuff in the papers.
