And if the club didn't put anything in place and there was a rush before kick off the club would be a 'shambles'.

I bet there are plenty of good fans who couldn't get tickets who would happily be sitting in either an odd or an even row, and very happy to get there before 2:45 to comply with rules that are there for people's health, without whinging on and thinking they are so special the rules shouldn't apply to them.
They don’t possess the wit to entertain themselves. Others should comply but not them.

Life revolves around alcohol don’t you know?
I like a pint as much anyone, marra. I just don't see what difference it makes having maybe one less. Like others say just go out 30 minutes earlier if you're that bothered. It's probably going to be a chee getting a pint beforehand anyway. If I had a pub in town I'd be following the rules to the letter as the last thing I'd want is to be closed down after a year of not being able to open.
Why the fuck would the media care or even know that me and my pals turned up at 3.20pm in an odd row
They won't. If there's a few thousand outside queuing to in no doubt we'll be hearing how much of a shambles it is and how useless the club are though.

But by putting 2 times on, there'll be thousands queuing. Allowing people to come in anytime between 2 and 3.30 would create an even flow. Now there'll be thousands coming at the last possible minute of the first time slot. They've created a problem by trying to fix one that didn't exist

I think it'll be a steady flow tbh. There's usually no bother getting in when there's about 25k crowd in. There's nowt open so they'll probably have stewards to move people straight into the seats and off the concourse. I know some had a fuck on with tickets, but it actually sounds like it's been pretty well planned.

Surely it isn't that much of a pain to sit and chat to whoever you're sat with for an hour? I'm going alone but it doesn't bother me, I'll just take in the atmosphere and enjoy being back, sure they upgraded the internet in the ground so can easily just flick through my phone for a bit.
I get the ‘reduce the risk’ measures and if my ticket is one of the ones where you’re asked to turn up 45+ mins before kick off I’ll not be far off that. However, I can see a fair few sticking two fingers up at sitting in a pretty empty stadium with a mask on with nothing to do other than go for a piss for an hour plus. Especially, when the alternative is to sit in a bar with no mask on and have a pint or 4.

If people really felt like that then maybe they should pass on their tickets to others who would be delighted to have the opportunity to go and would be delighted to adhere to rules.

I'm a maths teacher in a secondary school and I'd be surprised if everyone knew if they were in an odd or even row like

They should've made it more interesting - prime numbered rows can win a prize from a draw, but only if they're standing on one leg next to their seat at 2.45pm. Anyone standing in row 1 is banished from the SOL for life. Unfortunately anyone in row 2 will miss out due to the even numbered entrance rule, like.

There's already been someone unable to understand the difference between seats + rows
