I'm happy with that if it takes the Assassin's Creed route, where the sequel just improved the original's storytelling and added a lot more things to do but otherwise isn't a massive departure.

Obviously they've still got raids, nightfalls etc but to me it felt like a massive upgrade. Taken king and rise of iron felt like Destiny 1.5, this feels like a proper sequel to me.
Am I correct in thinking you start from scratch with new characters?
