Derby charged with excess losses

I'd say so.

Yeah but Birmingham were docked 9 weren't they? If Derby got the same they're in it and the form is very scrappy.

Oh, if they lose the points this season, agreed, they'd be right amongst it. Their form's been good since Christmas (2 wins, 2 draws) but prior to that they were a bit of a car crash this season (literally, of course).

Stuff like this does make me very glad we’re financially stable. It’s obviously a constant battle to stay that way, but at least SD wouldn’t risk the future of the club.

The majority of the championship is fucked financially. Very few clubs are even breaking even and some of the losses are horrendous. Birmingham a couple of years ago were paying out 202% of their income on wages alone.

Just been on Derby fans forum..they reckon they've been treated like mushrooms and fed bullshit...they are not happy with Mel Morris as they had been told FFP was all sorted and nothing to worry about , they also said that Gibson down the road had stirred the pot

They didn’t. They’re still waiting to find out if they’re banned from the Champions League and they were fined £49 million for previous breaches.

Well, UEFA are waiting to see if there's a viable and plausible replacement team that could bring in more worldwide revenue for them than Man City. If yes, they'll be banned, til their presence grows in the east (which it is, rapidly) if not, then they'll be allowed to continue, with or without fines
