Denying yourself or the principle

It's normal isn't it. If it's buying a car you want or ordering food to buying clothes. If you think it's overpriced I won't buy. Why buy one packet of crisps for the same price you can get a multi pack for. Have done it before when desperate but shite feeling knowing you've had ya kegs down.

Having to buy petrol from a motorway service station at inflated costs , because you didn't check being one example

I do it all the time, hate feeling I've had my eye's taken out, I also avoid cashless business If and when I can.

I'm more likely to avoid cash only businesses. Bit of a pain expecting to me visit a cash machine to get some sheets of paper plastic just so that I can pay for their products and services. All seems very inefficient.

Otherwise I have very few principles. If I want something I will buy it.

Really fancied a packet of MCoys flamin steak crisps. £1.25 a packet. Outrageous. They were £1.09 yesterday. Didn't buy them out of principle.

Have the smb been in the same situation where you have denied yourself something even though you could afford it? 🤔
I would not buy them because of the STUPID NAME.

They are just beef crisps.

Cash only businesses always promote their policy with claims about being spied on or it being far more expensive than just taking cash etc but the truth is they just don’t want to pay their fair share of tax.

I like cash businesses

Always room for a bit of negotiation.

No of course I don‘t want a receipt 🤑💰💸💵💷🎻

Aye I boycoutted the Stumble Inn for years cos they wouldn't let the bairn sit in with a Fanta after the match all of a sudden after we'd been going in about a year and a half.

It was tricky at first cos if I was out for a pint in town, or off through Newcastle, I'd often pop in on the way. But the longer I didn't go in the easier it got.

Changed ownership recently and I went in for the first time in years. Pint wasn't great. Haven't been back.
I must know you from there like. Are you talking about when Elaine had it.

Have stopped going to a local gastro pub out of principle. The owner got a load of dosh from the covid fund, put all the pub assets in his dads name and then avoided paying the cash back. He’ll get nothing more from me and I tell everyone I can about his shonky ways.
