Denying yourself or the principle

Really fancied a packet of MCoys flamin steak crisps. £1.25 a packet. Outrageous. They were £1.09 yesterday. Didn't buy them out of principle.

Have the smb been in the same situation where you have denied yourself something even though you could afford it? 🤔

Aye I boycoutted the Stumble Inn for years cos they wouldn't let the bairn sit in with a Fanta after the match all of a sudden after we'd been going in about a year and a half.

It was tricky at first cos if I was out for a pint in town, or off through Newcastle, I'd often pop in on the way. But the longer I didn't go in the easier it got.

Changed ownership recently and I went in for the first time in years. Pint wasn't great. Haven't been back.

I actively avoid Nestle products because they are total shitehawks. I'm vexed about the baby milk scandal and Pure Life water issues in developing nations.
Can add coca cola onto that list for the issues they create with water around the world too, basically pay off enough politicians so nobody will stop them no matter how much locals complain.

Does anyone still refuse to buy with certain shops/websites who either acted bad or stuck prices 2 or 3 times usual price during lockdown/covid times?

Boycotted the navy club for a good few years in the late 90s . Went in the bar as it had the only TV back in the day. Went in with my brother and two mates. No problems with them being in but I got thrown out for being a girl. Ironic as I was the only one of the 4 of us who'd served in the navy. Needless to say I was fuming but thankfully times have changed.

there's only one pub in our village and i've not been in since 2007. not keen on the person who owns it. used to spend a small fortune in there as well. missed it at first but not arsed now.

I will never buy a Domino’s pizza.
You are the winner there mind, never understand their popularity horrible and gives me the shits

Deliveroo are mine, we had a falling out over a delivery, they robbed £15, so just lost themselves a customer

I refuse to buy anything from Ticketmaster, I've no idea how they were able to get so powerful, bunch of twats 🤬

Often. Especially at airports then I sit feeling rough on the plane

Aye. And time ago before multi tab browsing, I used to refuse to buy from ones that wouldn't let you go back to the search engine and kept refreshing you back to their page every time you did.
