Id much rather sign players that we’ve actually properly thought about rather than impulse bad buys that we have to ship the next season
Same here. Clubs have been filling up quicker than I do me petrol tank but still feel we have done the best business on average. Still would like a couple in soon and see by end of month.

The only complaints I think we’ve got is just the number of signings, but we’ve been screaming quality over quantity for ages and I believe this may be the start of that

Aye you did man you massive duckbilledknackerpuss. you haven't changed your constant hanging on to every word of anyone who claims to be itk is although highly amusing for everyone on here is quite frankly embarrassing for you. You really do make yourself a laughing stock on here 😂 😂 😂 😂

Steady on.

Ross signed 16 players in our first season in league one. Arguably only McLaughlin and O’Nien were good signings with Flanagan and Leadbitter being reasonable. Next season we signed 13 with Willis probably being the only good signing with Burge and Wright being the best of the rest.
Last season we signed 12 with Stewart and Sanderson being the only real successes and Winchester being okay. Signing any old shit with a promotion under their belt is what’s got us where we are. We absolutely have to be more targeted. The three so far seem very much more thought through. Two fullbacks, a centre half and a striker in similar vein would be a massive improvement on recent seasons recruitment. If we can also shift O’Brien and Grigg a wide forward would be good too but I’d rather only sign 2-3 more and give our young lads a chance than be lumbered with the likes of Loovens, Baldwin, Power, Scowen, McClaughlin, McFadzean and Matthews et al.

Aye. He will happily drag this out until deadline day for an extra 100k.
I wonder if this is the rich person equivalent of "look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" - "look after the hundreds of thousands and the millions will look after themselves"

Yep, absolutely agree. I wonder if we'll start to pick up pace saying that you mentioned 4 gaps +1 extra and we don't have that long left for acquisitions. A couple of deadline day specials maybe?
I thought this was a permanent signing, or at least that's what was proposed.
1.3m was the number rumoured iirc
